but (in a very sarcastic, humorous, and half serious kind of way) i'd rather get addicted to smoking something that's been described to me as "ultra weed" than get addicted to sticking a needle in my arm and risk getting herpes!


(don't mind me really if i sound like i don't know what i'm talking about, right now i'm just very hyper and typing words on the computer is an energy outlet!)

 

Oh its cool man lol. Opium is not like weed other than the euphoric effects, which are WAY stronger than weed, and that usually only lasts about 2-3 hours. Then you have the relaxed, painkilling bit, and that is what gives the horrible withdrawl pains, your body stops producing endorphins or natural painkillers, as your brain gets used to the opiates doing it, and when you run out, your body feels like absolute shit for quite a while. Note that this doesnt happen from moderate use, and that could even be up to 100mg's a week, you may develop depression, but the physical pains only come from heavy abuse. But used properly, by people who are generally GOOD people and in control, it is the greatest drug to ever come from this earth IMO.

 

Relayer I appreciate that you have a different experience of opiates to myself, I've never tried opium in my life and it's great that you can take it or leave it.

I was taking about heroin addiction specifically and I thought it was a good idea to strongly advise people against it. There's a few references to heroin in this thread and there was another up a few weeks ago where a number of people (especially teenagers) expressed a desire to try it.

My thought is that if it is once in a lifetime, I would want to know what the opium is like unadulterated with weed. (Once in a lifetime is half as much opium as I have smoked.)

 

And the same goes for me, I have a few old friends that are now heavy into the shit, I cant even have them around sometimes because they come over in a good mood, then about 30 minutes later they are asleep on my couch, go to wake them up and they get all bitchy and shit, I cant have people like that around my son, even though in the heart they mean well. But yea heroin is much more painful to kick, but I would advise against opium use just as much since MOST people will be sucked in, very few have the nature to take or leave without complaining.

 

Give yourself a few years and go to college. It wont be that rare anymore.

I've only ever had O with trees before in a bowl, since I first smoked it about a year ago I dont think I've had it more than ten times... Strong body high, very easy to get couch-locked, but overall I dont really like it that much. Tastes and smells fucking amazing though, I think I like that more than the actuall effects. Never felt any kind of addiction forming, but all I've smoked was probably cut alot and not all too potent.

Like I said, I never really liked the effects, nothing that amazed me too much. I dont really do any drugs that are uppers or downers though, I've never seen much point. Rather just smoke pot and trip face because I dont know of any hallucinogens that are addictive and why waste money on just 'feeling good' when you can travel from the stars to the dark reaches of your mind?
