Hello everyone! I had my first acid trip just last week!! Took three hits of liquid LSD (I'm a light weight with most things lol) got around a little unlit camp fire in the back yard and passed around a guitar while feeling like I'm on a little boat riding the waves of the cosmos with a little group of friends. And it was all good untill I went inside with a BUNCH of people I didn't know who were all on acid and started thinking about my place in the world and who my real friends are and a bunch of messed up shit. But it was VERY VERY much better then any other drug I've ever been on (bunch of weed, bunch of ecstasy, little coke) and I'm looking to do it again. HOWEVER I am in need of some good music seeing as I am looking to do this alone this time. I have already found "Kid Charlemagne", "China Cat Sunflower", "Incense and Peppermints", "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds", "Rainy Day Mushroom Pillow", "White Rabbit", "I am the Walrus", "Yellow Submarine", "The Zephyr Song", "A Girl named Sandoz", PLUS some songs from James Blunt, the must have CD "Dark Side of the Moon", "Tenacious D", and the good old Daft Punk!!!! All I am really wondering about is WHAT ARE THE SONGS I AM MISSING AND REALLY DO NEED?????? Please keep it to songs that are a little bit mellow please and thank you for your help. ^_^V
I personally don't understand why people listen to songs that refer to LSD while tripping on LSD. I'd suggest slower Aphex Twin, contemporary classical like Johann Johannsson & Philip Glass, and electronic bands like Efterklang. Then add in some nice happy-go-lucky twee pop.
ok 2 things first off..dont do it alone do it with 1- say 10 close freinds alone is asking for craziness 2nd try these 2 sites for tunes theyre mellow but intence & not the lame ass commercial crap http://rainbowtribe.net www.spunoneproductions.com or just play your own music i remember 1 gathering there wAs a music tent just full of instruments..i was tripping hard..& me & another guy pulled out 2 harps..yea freakin harps..we'd never played em b4 but the strings lit up tellin us which ones to plucj..& it was really trippy out there kinda experience
My favorite song, trippy as shit, too listen to on LSD is God Bless the USA by Lee Greenwood. Take a 10 strip and check it out, you will never be the same again : If tomorrow all the things were gone I’d worked for all my life, And I had to start again with just my children and my wife. I’d thank my lucky stars to be living here today, ‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can’t take that away. And I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free. And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me. And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today. ‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A. From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee, across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea, From Detroit down to Houston and New York to LA, Well, there’s pride in every American heart, and it’s time to stand and say: I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free. And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me. And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today. ‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A.
LMFAO! That was the theme song of this competition I was in for high school. Hilarious. I wouldn't look for single songs, I usually listen to whole shows or albums.
I used to sing the Lee Greenwood song in the car with my mom when I was little. I agree with 2ces though, albums are where it's at yo! Just pick an album or two or three that you absolutely love sober, and the LSD will just make you love it more, and give you something extra to think about when you listen to it again sober!
The whole Are you experienced? album by jimi hendrix is awesome when tripping. Its accessible music yet really trippy at the same time, when tripping you always know what he means and he drives ya around
thats why i gave those links u can just listen to the music from bout 8 years of gatherings in like 10-14 hours
pink floyd - the wall is kinda depressing music at times its been known to give me bad vibes when i was fucked on acid before though....could be JUST me but its just a warning...right?
My favorite song to listen to on acid is acid 8000 by fat boy slim, and no it's not because it says acid in the title. But from about five minutes into it it gets really trippy. I think it amplified the hallucinations times ten. It's fucking great!
lou reids metal machine music but only if u wanna go insane..lol 4 hours in it goes into a loop... nah forget that suggestion..ya probly would have your head explode...but would be a crazy trip
does it have that squelchy tb-303 bassline? I'm listening to funkstorung's "return of the acid planet" right now; certainly psychedelic, chock full of that tweaky synth sound

I don't know what tb-303 bassline is, but i know it's the trippiest song i've ever heard. You should download it.
Thanks for all the great music suggestions!!! The Aphex Twins are freaking awesome, I'm not really sure if Efterklang is what I'm looking for or at least I'm going to have to get used to it before I start to like it EXCEPT for "Swarming" that song is beautiful, Jimi Hendrix is a DEMI GOD COME TO THIS WORLD TO BLESS US WITH RIGHTOUS ROCK but I have a feeling that Are You Experienced will give me a bad trip and I couldn't get my poor slimmy fingers on Ladyland =(, Acid 8000 is an orgy for my ears lol, and as far as lou reids metal machine music goes... yeah I don't want to die lol thanks anyways though. Thank you for you advice and concern I really do appreciate it. The thing is though my family has moved a bunch of times (I have never lived in the same state for more then five years and I just got here about two months ago) so if I wanted to trip with my closest friends in regards to location I would have to drive for about six hours and gas isn't cheap. ::grumbles about gas for a bit grumble grumble grumble:: The plan I have is: to take just one hit of acid (just cuz this will be my 2nd time on acid and 1st time alone so I want to try it and make sure I'll be ok with it before I go up to two or three hits if I feel like I need to), lock myself in my room, turn on some music but not to loud, get out my recorder (tis a awesome flute like thing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recorder I really hope that putting this link here isn't considered spam O.O), I am also going to get out my idea book and write down anything and everything that comes into my head and hopefully use some of the ideas for little stories or something, and if I start to trip out to much and start thinking things like "who am I" or messed up depressing life shit like that I'll crack open my Bible and read that untill I settle down and remember who I am and who I belong to and all that groovy shit ^_^V (I just hope I don't open it to a part describing the egyptian plagues O.O or the story of Samson O.O or one of those other times that will probably be way to intense for me on LSD lol) Heh I just wish one of my guitar friends could do this with me and who knows maybe I'll be able to get a few people I know up here. Thanks a bunch for the sweet links too!!! I don't want to be online to much while I'm frying because theres alot of ugly things online but I think http://rainbowtribe.net is going to have to be the exception!! That and Plus the Rainbow Family makes everything better!!!! ^_^ As far as harps go though I only wish I could have been there to see you do that lol. lol NO, no, no, no, just no absolutely no lol. Yeah I don't really have alot of CDs but I do have Black Eyed Peas "Monkey Business" which is good AND MY MORTAL KOMBAT TECHNO CD WOULD BE PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe I didn't think of that till just now ::shrug:: oh well. PS: Don't hate the black, don't hate the white, If you get bitten, just hate the bite Thats a pretty awesome saying you got there =) is it from a song or did you make it up? Yeah totally! Thanks for the heads up. It is awesomely great music but I have never listened to it while frying so I guess I'll have to let that one wait untill I'm sure I can take the whole slow depressing beat some of it has. Not to mention all the death and aging symbolism that it has and I really don't need to think about on acid lol.
I once saw the most awesome genre hopping band on acid. They do grindcore/free jazz/metal/elevator music. It was one of the most awesome experiences ever. www.myspace.com/combover But I find a bit of good classic pop doesnt go down badly. Also Kraftwerk's Autobahn is awesome to listen to on acid!
i would listen to pink floyd.. any pink floyd. especially the wall, dark side of the moon, or if u get the dvd PULSE its a concert live that is awesome or watch the movie the wall... idk i would b into watchin a movie.. or u could listen to some techno-ish stuff thts pretty trippy... OH DUDE listen to pilgrim by eric clapton.. great chill song...
