today my friend was telling me about this tea he found, and apperently you drink it in the morning and at night and it makes your dreams more vivid, intense, and easy to remember. is this for real? i wonder what types of herbs would be able to effect your dreams but not your regular life. has anyone else heard of this?

Where can you get this mugwort stuff? That'd be interesting to try, maybe dangerous for me since my dreams are pretty vivid already, but interesting all the same.

There is a picture on top of this page http://altnature.com/thegarden/Mugwort.html
is that what mugwort looks like? Kind of like you might be able to grow pot in a field of it and no one would suspect? (my friend pointed that out) I'm asking b/c if that's mugwort it's covering my whole back yard! I could save the money and and dry it myself!

My dreams have always been very vivid... first dream I remember was about a crocadile when I was very very young.

As for mugwort in my back yard its everywhere! Theres at least 1/4 acre to my back yard, so you can imagine.

I like the idea of using it for wreaths over doorways to keep negativity out, I saw that on that site I mentioned before, sounds like something I could use a bit of.

You know, they also grow along the house outside on the wall that is acually the same wall that my head is against when I sleep... maybe it does permiate. Hmm....

I don't think I'd want to smoke it, I quit smoking this year by way of hyptnotism and I think I'd cough a lot... I hate coughing.

I am going to go out tomorrow and see what I can find, a lot got cut down with mowing the yard and all, if I'd known I would have saved an area. I will definately let you know how it works and how dreamy I get. :)

Also, thanks! I guess I do live in a dream world, I day dream all day long and love it when I dream at night. I think this mugwort stuff could help me when I go a few nights without dreaming, I don't feel rested when I don't dream. We shall see what comes of it, from what I've read on it so far it enhances many ways of dreaming, depending on how the individual dreams. I've always had lucid dreams and also dreams of the future and of loved ones who have past, so maybe it'd amplify those? Like I said, we shall see.

calea zacatechichi is another herb you may want to look up concerning making your dreams more vivid/lucid/intense.. it is to be smoked for best results though. i just wanted to double check my spelling of it, and i see erowid has it in their vaults. you can make tea too i guess (when i bought the herbs, the man suggested smoking).. but it seriously tastes horrible. i love pot, and this tastes nothing like it. haha

i have also heard leicithin taken daily for a period of time can also make your dreams easier to remember, and more realistic.

I'll have to look into calea zacatechichi . Looks interesting, this is what I found about that. I guess I won't find this growing in my back yard!

From the remote and rugged mountains of Mexico's Chiapis region comes this most unusual herb which the Chontal natives use to navigate the realms of dreaming sleep. By drinking an infusion made from the leaves of this plant, they claim to experience intense moments of lucid dreaming during which they access a vast hidden realm of insight, imagery and knowledge normally unavailable during normal waking consciousness. Controlled clinical studies have since been conducted that verify this unusual dream-enhancing or "oneirongenic" effect. These fragrant leaves also make a very pleasing, aromatic smoke or a superb addition to dream pillows

I might have to try both mugwort and calea zacatechichi and make a dream pillow with it, I really like that idea.

Also, leicithin sounds really familiar. Hmmm.... interesting, I just found this about it. No wonder it sounds familiar. Looks like it helps with memory loss in general, so no wonder it would help you remember your dreams. :)

Lecithin is derived from soy and is available in capsule, liquid and granule form. Consumers should not use a synthetic form of the supplement (choline chloride), but should seek one that contains natural phosphatidyl choline. Lecithin from soybeans generally contains about 76% phosphatidycholine. Studies of supplements sold in health food stores show that most contain minimal levels of pure lecithin. In fact, a person might get the same benefit from eating a handful of peanuts. The American Heart Association and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University described lecithin supplements as "an expensive way of adding unsaturated fatty acids to the diet."

I hear that! I take melatonin in liquid form usually. Man do I have some strange dreams when I take it. Of course, they've always been strange

I've used mugwort tea before, and I had the craziest experience with it. I drank it just before doing deep meditation, and after about 45 minutes of meditation I layed down to sleep, and I had the most vivid, lucid dreams I've ever had. I didn't even know I was asleep until I was woken up by a loud noise from the street. very intense.

I take melatonin producing herbs during the winter. It always brings the most bizarre but realistic dreams!
