You're right, it took me about 4 years of quitting, but eventually I quit.

my boyfriend's been in jail for a long time, which made him automatically quit, but we have a child now and I let him know that I don't want a family with him if he wants to smoke, which I know is hard since he's been doing it since he was 9. but I think that should be motivation enough. if not, he's out.

I know kind of what you guys are going through. he's tried to quit a few times while I was pregnant and it made him so bitchy. so he didn't keep trying just so that he wouldn't be a dick to me.

anyways, this non-smoker supports you guys!

That's funny! I've always had a wierd connection with smoking and the cold of winter! I smoke more when it's cold, I think it's because of the winter blues, I smoke more when I'm sad or stressed.

I've quit and started so many times I've lost track. But I always have a pack when I quit. Better to make a concsience discision not to have one.you also won't bum one off the first person you can think of when it gets you, cause it will get you bad! Thats where a new hobbie or old one should get some interest.Keep your hands and mind busy! One time I took up cross stich ,one time juggling.Eventually you will probly smoke one.Smoke it like a joint, big puff and hold it, try and get sick, hot box it,tear the filter off ,just don't enjoy it! If you really try I'm sure you can do it......Good Luck!

My craving for them is completley gone...one week of really hard work and feeling ill at times, only one slip up...taping a broken cigarette I found together and smoking it
But now I can say I think cigarettes are the grossest things ever I smelt one in the drive through this morning and I wanted to barf, then I knew I kicked the habit.
It's doable!!!! No lung cancer for me!
But I know I can never date a smoker again or I would start right back up after a few drinks. My true test will be this sunday at the bar...
