    Hey,

I am a male asking a question for a friend... She doesn't know i'm trying to find out this but I thought I might be helpful...

She is 17 years old, and she has a period every 2 weeks... Is this common? What could be the problem?

She needs to go to a doctor. It shouldn't be every 2 weeks.

It could be hormone imbalance, which isn't uncommon in very young women.

or maybe she's lying about being on her period so she doesn't have to give you any.

or she's experiencing spotting with ovulation, and confuses that with menses.

or the bleeding is something totally unrelated, cervical cancer, rough sex, whatever.

    could be anything, really.
