I was just wondering if any one here had trusted someone to guide them in their faith just to find out they were a total fraud?

I knew a pastor once that seemed to believe everything he was preaching, he was a good man overall but I started to notice that he used his churches belief in god to push his own agenda. He manipulated these people and it was disgusting that someone would use their power like that. I left this church after I was told I shouldn't testify because my past was too graphic and my experiences with god were invalid.

    Well, that's my story.

no, i had always felt intuitively from birth the moral responsibility to investigate on my own. the rewards of avoiding self deception may take a life time to fully comprehend, but observing the diverse nature of reality, it is not reasonable to expect any awairness to not have an agenda of their own, even those who intended no harm, nor even those who make a conscous and conscientous effort to avoid causing suffering and harm.
