About a week a go, I slided a spiral ear stretcher thing through my ear (I am completely ignorant of all the terms). Its about 3 or 4 millimetres wide. Ive been soaking it in warm seasalt water for about five minutes every morning and night, as well as clearing away all the dried gunk and stufff around the actual hole with teatree oil and water solution. How long should I wait until i stretch up to the next size, and am I cleaning and caring for it right? Anything youd reccomend? Cheers. P4TW
After 6-9 months is a Good Time for your First Stretch... I Think this Site Covers most of What you Need to know... http://www.tribalectic.com/StretchingGuide.asp And you're Doing Fine With the Cleaning...maybe you Could Cut Down From 5 minutes to maybe 2...
Your care for your piercings sounds excellent, good work. The time to wait between stretches varies greatly from person to person. When I started stretching, I changed sizes about every month, or every two months. Most people will say that is too soon though. You'll be able to tell when it stops feeling 'tight' ... just keep playing with them, turning, tugging, twisting.
Wait at least a month between stretching. You should be able to tug on it pretty hard without it stinging or hurting really before you can stretch it again. If you do it too soon it will rip and bleed. However, I've ripped my earlobes at least a couple times.. it sucks and it hurts but if you take care of it and keep it clean it will always heal. I pierced my ears at 16 gauge and went to half inch (00000 gauge) in less than one year.
I'm currently stretching my lobes too. I'm at a 14g right now. I have in stretching crescents that go from a 14-4g. Tribalectic is an awesome place. www.tribalectic.com
