ive been lookign at colleges and im considering business as my major, bu tim confused wen i look at the list of majors i see business management and admin. business management, general business economics wat is the difference, i asked my dad but hes an electrical engineer so doesnt know anything about business degress so could some1 explain them to me
I always thought of a major in buisness as... well... something for people who don't know what they want to do in college. I mean... you should really think about what you want to do in the business field, ex. advertising, IT, aministrative work, etc. There are so many subcategories of work in "business" that I think it's more benefitial to major in something more specific... but what do I know.
I'm in business admin. too. Mostly accounting right now. The best advice I can give- and I'm still new at this myself - is learn how to keep your books. Even if you hire an off-site accountant, and most successful businessmen do, you really need to know how to hold your own. Learn the lingo.Create some mock balance sheets, cash flow projections, and income statements. Just play along like you already own a business, and don't take it too seriously. It's serious business-pardon the pun- but it mostly boils down to simple mathematics. Its really easy, bro.In fact, you'll probably love it once you really get going!
^^^ hey thx for the advice, ya it is something that i can see myself actually kinda likeing down the road
