every couple of hours or so, my "normal" vision goes, and instead all i can see are fuzzy lines, spectrums, zig-zags etc (or just hallucinations in general).
i also get very very dizzy, and i also get a slight headache.

i'm not concerned about any of this happening, but i would like to know if this is normal or not? does this happen to anyone else?

sounds like a migraine to me. doesn't have to have a headache or be incapacitating for it to be a for-real migraine. Talk to your doctor about it. Pay attention to see what might be triggering it, things like food, your monthly cycle, etc.

At the first sign of a headache, press the web between your thumb and index finger,on the same side as your headache, for five minutes.

    A couple things:
Do you have high blood pressure?

If not, have you been exposed to any unusual intense lights or sounds before this happened?

Otherwise, like mamaboogie said, could be a migraine.
OR, just as the poster above me said, are you eating enough? Well balanced?

I get this a lot when I haven't eaten enough or if I haven't eaten enough FOR the amount of activity I'm doing.

For example, one day I ate next to nothing, and was cleaning and vacuuming the place like a banshee, until I started seeing bright swirly spots in front of me, like I had just gotten my picture taken with the flash...but it wouldn't go away. Then, I realized I just hadn't eaten enough that day.

Chances are, it's nothing serious, just look into the things you've eaten lately, or the things you've been exposed to.

If you've been eating properly, and have been in a pretty normal environment as to what you're used to and don't have high blood pressure, it's probably a migraine.

My favorite thing to do for migraines is to put my reheatable pad on my forehead for about a half hour... it gets rid of any time of head problem for me.

The dizziness is suggestive of low blood sugar, however the blurred vision can be from high blood sugar. Do you have a family history of adult onset diabetes? If you know someone who does need to check his/her blood sugar ask them if they can check yours.
