I want to make a sweet ceramic bong out of this thing that looks like a fish jumping out of water... Do I need a special drill bit?

yeah they make a special bit for glass/ceramic. Ive tried several times to drill through glass with a normal bit and no matter how careful I am it always cracks.

I've drilled through ceramic with a normal bit. Didn't even think twice about it, maybe I was just lucky though.

They make diamond tipped bits for glass/ porcelian/ ceramic. You also have to drill very slow or it will break.

Run a screw into it first, just for a split second until it chips the surface. Then take a masonary bit or a diamond tip (much more expensive but better) and place it directly on top of the little notch. The purpose of the notch is to prevent the bit from sliding up, or down..... Let the drill bit do the work, don't force it in
