and just in case anyone was wondering, the artist was Brian Decker. search on BMEzine.com scarification section for a lot more of his and others work.
Ive seen scarification before...BUT NOTHING. like this.....i mean those cuts are FUCKING DEEP!!!!!!! omg. im just omg. i mean my god look at the chunks of skin!!!!!!!!!!! AH!!! but it really did turn out stunning! i mean wow thats way more beautiful than a tattoo could be. damn. mad props to that girl.
Wow :O She looked fucking mutilated- way worse than any scarification pics I've ever seen. But the end result was so peaceful-looking it was sort of ironic! It looks stunning, though. Beautiful.
yeah the end result is really cool but omg how the hell do you sit through something like that? do they give you some form of mild anasthetic, how do you keep it clean & how does it heal? that shit is mad but the end result does look soo cool, i could never do it tho.
brings all new meaning to "pound of flesh". Its amazing to look at, but how the hell could anyone sit through that?
its not cut that deep at all.. id definately expect top work from the likes of brian.. and as for anasthetic, i greatly doubt it. some artists may use some, but for my skin removal at least, there was definately none at all.. fineline scarification is easily dealable, the removal gets a tad more painful.. after a couple of hours i was going into shock but its all good
GODDAMN! Anybody know how long that took to heal? I'd definitely go for getting that done...seriously...but only by the same artist.
Yeah... they don't usually use anything to numb it, because it'll wear off before the work is done and you can't use that stuff on the skin after it's already been cut. They aren't really that deep, like someone else said... they just make the cuts and kind-of peel/cut the skin away with the scalpel. As for healing, most people who do/have scarification basically irritate the hell out of it, to try to get it to scar better. Some people will take a (new/clean) toothbrush with uncoloured/unscented antibacterial soap or just sea salt water, and scrub the hell out of it to tear the scabs off (since, underneath scabs are re-developing skin cells) and open the cuts as much as they can. It's slow healing when you're trying to irritate it as much as possible, but worth it in the end.
Wow. that is amazing. That girls got some guts. It looks so beautiful, but I dont think I'd be able to sit through it.
That gave me shivers....the picture of the shards of skin is what got me. The end result is beautiful, no doubt, but that looked like so much skin to have scalped off your body!
I can imagine that I would do it in a couple of sessions. But, honestly, can you bleed to death from that? there is a lot of blood!
