The universe is an environment. Like a room. It is not alive in the sense we understand life. The universe is made up of things that have potential to form into things collectively within the universe. The universes’ ability is stimulus in nature not biological. In other words, the universe is not a seed that grows but the place that gives the seed a spot to grow. The things within the universe have potential to develop and humanity is simply one of the things that can develop. What makes humanity different from other biological potential entities is that is can know and acknowledge it exist and present this awareness to another living entity. Humanity is one thing among many things within the universe. No other thing within the universe can know and acknowledge its existence and present this awareness to another knowing living entity. Without humanity, there would be no known universe. Is it spiritual or is it simply a neat function is challengeable but the fact that humanity is and does the only thing that allows the universe to come into awareness is profound to say the least.
Again, the universe’s function “purpose” is to come into existence. However to negate the principle of non–existence there must be an acknowledgment of such event. It can be said that there is some event that we are witnessing be it actually physical or cerebral in nature. Humanity can do the one thing no other event within the shell of the universe can do which is to be aware if it’s existing. No other activity within the universal shell can transcend beyond this function.
I don't get it...Why without humanity can there be no known universe? Without humanity there can be no known universe to humanity, but that's just stating the obvious. The existance of something doesn't have to be acknowledged by a human for it to actually exist. There is plenty that exists that we aren't aware of yet. That stuff, whatever it may be, still exists even though we haven't acknowledged it yet. Your also assuming that humans are the only thing in the universe that are capable of understanding and "acknowledging" it. That may be true, but not necessarily. I would argue that the universe has no "purpose" or goal of any sort. I also argue that humanity's only purpose is the same as any other life, to sustain it's life, generally through survival and procreation, or proliferaton, of the species. Any other purpose we want to apply to ourselves is purely subjective in nature. Learning about the universe could assist in the survival and longevity of our species, but the universe doesn't care. It isn't here for us, it's just here.
Occam maintains his position.. That 'A Direction' caused this facet of reality to 'form' with rules to suit it's aim. That aim being.. To result in a multidude of species with coherent thought process [we only just now start to qualify] That can manipulate the 'facet' to produce interesting forms and ideas. And eventually...someone to talk to. Religions seem to all about mighty minds demanding worship and love... How Anthropomorphic. Occam adds a new parable to the bible Irony 1:13 "Thank me.. someone to talk to at last" Occam
Fact: Humanity exists. Fact: Humanity is aware of it’s existence ether subjectively or objectively. Fact: Humanity exists in an environment that is part of what is called the universe. Fact: There is no other known creature that is known by humanity that can perceive the universe in a way that can be communicated to a human entity. Fact: the only known entity in the universe that can communicate it’s awareness as to the existence of the universe to another entity of it’s kind is humanity. Fact: If humanity did not exist, there would be no known universe. Religion and corporate greed are one and the same they just have different techniques. Religion destroys humanity corporate greed destroys our environment. I fear less the destruction of our environment over the destruction of our human existence. I would hug a human long before I would hug a tree. Purpose = function
