ok, so i just washed my dreads, lil more thoroughly then usual..and i lean over to reach for the soap and wet dreads just make it a struggle to stay upright..lol
i swear i gain like 25 pounds or more when i wash my dreads..
i have alotta back & neck probs from breakin my back..and just gotta wonder how much carryin round all this weight hangin from my head might contribute to neck probs
i might've been lil stoned in the shower..but i actualy had the thought bout what if they were heavy enough to pull me over & got so hopelesly tangled up in em to have a real strugle on my hands..lol
so i'm startin to wonder again about if there is a such thing as too long.. ive always said i'd never cut em even if they were draggin on the ground & wearrin off..and theyre startin to do that now..lost bout 6-8 inches off a bunch of em includin beard dreads from sittin on em..

so...is there such a thing as too long?...hmmm a backpack made to cary the dreads..thats what i need..ok nevermind think i thought of a solution maybe..unless ya have other comments/'ideas...actualy that wont help when wet i guess...damn that was the best bud ever got outta the projects..lol..srry i rambled

WOW!^^....yeah, the backpack prolly wouldn't be cool for wet ones, and i don't really know what you could do about that, but man. the backpack idea is really awesome! something about seeing someone carrying their dreads in a backback behind them makes me smile..lololol^^

Good idea w/ the backpack! Can't wait till my dreads are going to be that long. Only about fourteen more years. ;) Do you have a full length picture of you and your locks? I'ld love to see how long they are.

    Peace and love

A few years ago I met the guy with the worlds longest dreads. He was actually in the Guinness Book for it many years back, but they put in the entry without his permission and he sued them over it (!) so they took the entry out. The dreads of which I speak were actually beard dreads, two of 'em, and they were like 35 feet long. He keeps them wrapped around his neck several times over (since there's only two he can do that) and if he's got his coat zipped up you can't even see them. It freaked me out when I met him. We'd just walked into a seafood restaurant in OR and he commented on my locks and told me he had some also. I didn't believe him until he unzipped his coat! :) Sorry for the rant, your thread just reminded me of that... :)

The backpack/sling idea is really great! Depending on what kind of fabric you use it could even work while wet. Or you could have one to wear while they're wet, and another one for while you're out and about. Keep us posted on how it works! :D

no..no yard stick or tape measure..i contemplated measuring against bumble who i thinks maybe 5'3ish..i'm guessin only 4'6 or so ..enough to get pretty wrapped up in..i'd guess 1/2 way between knees and ankles, but like sitting the bottom 8 inches or so or more are a draggin & tanglin in everything alot
