I understand the concept of chakras, but the individual chakras confuse me a tad, anyone care to explain in a bit simpler terms for me?

I'm really interested and have been researching it, and I gather the main ideas, however, some of the awkward wordings in the explanations are throwing me for a loop.

    thanks <3

The eight individual chakras you mean? Or are you referring to the over-all chakra of a person?

The eight chakras are the energy centers located in the specific areas of our body. What chakra books are you reading, by the way?

thanks for the thread apples + oranges....

I have been reading some on the net as well. I was trying to do crystal layouts without knowing nothing about chakras either. Now when I meditate I open and close them, resulting in my feeling much more centred.

There is a huge chakra thread in the sarced spiral :)
