I want to get my hood pierced. And i was wondering is there is anything you can do to numb the area. I mean I have a lot of tattoos, it started with just one and there so addictive, So i'm kind of used to pain. But thats a very sensitive area for me.

the pain is a part of it...

generally it's worth the pain.

It really doesn't hurt for more than a couple of seconds. Heals up real quick too. No biggie.

I got a horizontal hood. It honestly didn't hurt. It was just a split-second shock. If you want, you can ask your doctor for a sample of a mild lidocaine ointment. Put it on there about 10 minutes beforehand.

Yeah for reference I don't put up with tattoos, piercings, or dyed hair.

They *can* use numbing creams (Emla, etc.) on that area, but you have to be pretty careful about it and it's usually more complication than it's worth.
I did my vertical hood myself, and honestly, it wasn't bad at all. Most girls that I know that have genital piercings (other than their clit, triangle, etc) say that none of them were really painful, and you really don't feel it at all right after it's done... all you really feel is the awkward newness of having jewelry somewhere you didn't before, like with any other piercing.
