Has anyone seen this film? The part with Iggy pop and Tom waits is great. Also Meg and Jack black. If you haven't seen it, its pretty good. Alicia
it is really great...I think there was a thread on it a while back - most people seem pretty damn keen on it...http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=76608
i think you mean jack white, not jack black...... anyway, that is one of my favorite vignettes. my other two favorites are probably the opening scene with steven wright and roberto benigni, and of course my all time favorite one features bill groundhog-day-ghost-busting-ass murray, GZA and RZA........ those three scenes are all hilarious, in my opinion, but the rest of the movie is great too, really...
haha, yeah...bill murray is always fantastic. I also really like the Steve Coogan/Alfred Molina 'Cousins?' sequence. Steve Coogan's pretentiousness..magic
its ok....its just that they are VERY different people! yeah, the "cousins?" vignette was good, but it made me feel bad for alfred molino haha.....i LOVED the twins part though, with steve buscemi as the waiter..... "You know who you two remind me of? Heckel and Jeckel!" I almost died when he said that!
he is awesome... my other favourite thing about this movie is the way it was shot over 17 years...the first scene, with Roberto Begini, was filmed as a short movie (called Coffee and Cigarettes) in 1986, the segement called 'twins' was originally Coffee and Cigarettes: Memphis Version, and filmed in 1989, the Iggy Pop/ Tom Waits scene was filmed in 1993 and was called Coffee and Cigarettes - Somewhere in California and the rest were filmed in 2003.
Steve Buscemi (sp?) is the man. Does anyone remember the Simpson's episode with him in it? "Hey Homer, I have two tickets to the Independent Film Festival" lol.
