I was mowing the lawn the other day... I was sad to see some of the grass go, I LOVE long grass.. but I was thinking about how much I love the lawn, and THE SMELL of newly cut grass mmmmmm....... SO DO any other hips like mopwing the lawn? giving the grass a haircut?
I'm too lazy to mow the lawn... we have this cute little old man in a cute little hat come do it for us. He's really sweet. I love how it smells, though, even though I prefer long happy grass... I'm planting a big huge patch of wildflowers on the side of my house to make up for it.
I do not like to cut the grass... I let my family take care of that one if they must. But if it is cut then i dont mind doing a little raking to make it pretty, which i did last night cause the lawn looked clumpy, and grass is beautiful.
yea I don't like mowing the lawn, it's like ooo poor grass. seriously though, it'd be awesome to have your lawn look like a golf course, and you'd be lying there all day looking at clouds. as far as the smell, i like it too! i think it smells a bit like weed, no?
long grass sucks, lots of ticks live in long grass. my dad loves to mow it on hiw mower so its all cool
Yeah, I'm always the one who mows the grass at my house... and I kinda like it. I always get my MP3 player and listen to music while I mow, to make it more interesting. Sometimes, when I'm listening to music and admiring the clouds or some such thing, it's like an enlightening experience. I like seeing it cut after I'm done, too. It always looks so nice, and my lines are usually nice and straight. It's a lot more fun to mow the lawn than to go to school or go to work. It's funny, I used to HATE mowing grass, and I would have rather been in school, but now I like it. It's relaxing...
AH! TICKS! I forgot about those! I love long grass (not really long, just like 2 inches or so), but the mosquitos are everywhere in long grass *shudder*
I mowed yards for a living for a while. I enojyed it a lot. I think mowing the grass is very relaxing and allows you to let your mind wander (be careful not to mow your toe, though!). I don't feel bad for the grass. It likes to be well groomed. Grass is very concerned with its appearance.
me too!! i always cut the grass...but i always do a sloppy job...or i end up trying to write things in the grass with the mower
I am mowing lawns for a living at the moment.I can still hear the sound of the lawnmowers running when I go to sleep at night.Perhaps it is rotting my brain. Dunno how anyone could enjoy mowing lawns.
Hey I like mowing the lawn. My yard has lots of stuff ya gotta cut around(tree's, my old car, my old mower, wheels, rocks, my rusty metal pile, a trailer my dad built alooong time ago, a keg, um me think's that is all), and it feels like a really slow go kart. I like to draw patterns and stuff sometimes. I have every exact turn memorized iIcould cut it stoned off my ass(not that I would Know ). It's like a mental syncrination with the grass. Sometimes shrooms will grow and I'll hav'ta stop n' pick em. Its fun when I get covered in grass cuz the mower is broken. I'm like one with the grass man. O ya I gotta get rid of my old car so that I can get a new(er) car. Well its a bit earlier like a 1970 verses the '73, you know what I mean. I might borrow my friend's cutting tourch are they hard to use? Both of the cars are green like grass and all fadded. O whats a fuel sending unit and do I need one my friend said it is broken on the car. OOOOO I should cover the car with grass like in Bill Nye is that hard? It's a big ol car. I'ma gonna cover my car in Grass, PhysicTrip
I don't mind cutting the grass. I see no real threat to the environment by cutting it. Plus I'm lazy and jobless and the combination of my parents always making me cut the grass (like twice a week) and getting paid $15 is not that bad. Though I always hate when the dead birds land in our yard out of everyone elses. So I just mow around it and try not to look at it. I think I hate the dead birds so much because one time I mowed over a dead one but I thought I had somehow mowed over a perfectly well and live one that was just sitting there and somehow forgot to fly away when I came.
I don't think it counts as the law of survival of the fittest when it invovles us killing another animal. I was freaked out because I assumed I ran over a live bird thus killing something that had no reason to die. I thought and realized later that I didn't run over a live bird but rather a dead one. Like I said before, it's not really survival of the fittest when we kill something. For one big reason. We could easily kill any animal, in fact with a gun present I'm sure we could kill any animal (that's in our range, not like birds that fly with the airplanes) and make it almost impossible to be killed by any animal attacking us. Granted if a bear was close enough, I'm sure it could easily attack me before I can fire a shot. My point is that since shooting or mowing over soemthing gives us an unfair advantage it kind of doesn't make it survival of the fittest anymore.
i use siccors sometimes if its good and green, otherwise i just pick out the stems and seeds and stuff it in a bowl,, i know that was lame but this is my first cuppa coffee and i realy felt like someone should be a smartass on this
Eh, I could most likely make something funny out of this, but to be a smart-ass about mowing the lawn would just lead to everyone hating you.
