many organic vegetables and fruits are grown with the use of animal manures of which the animals are exploited for their manures... foods grown with chemical fertilizers are animal exploitation free let everyone know so we don't give support to this great atrocity
i dont use any animal product fertalizers at all ya dont need to at all, vegatable matter compost does just as good plis..its just shit..all animals shit, exploitedd or not ya can just compost your own shit and use that instead iff u feel the need to use shit based fertalizer ] but ya dont need fertalizers at all, if you use proper farming techniques that dont deplete the soil
i'm a mulch hay person... first heard about it through ruth stout books... i don't think i'm exploiting earthworms which are plentiful in my garden which go a long way to making the ground healthy with worm dung since i don't harvest them
a freind makes this stuff thats mined in utah ithink..its basicaly 60 million year old composted rainforresst its not technicaly a fertalizer, but what it does is activates the soil some enzymes or something that breaks down the soil and helps in the transmission of nutrients...and eiminates the need to fertalize
I've got pampered pet guinea pigs here, and whether I use their poo as fertilizer or just toss it out, they're gonna make the same amount. This reminds me of people who think earthships are stupid & will contaminate the groundwater. Whether we use it or not, animals are gonna poo. Farmers have just found a way to deal with all that waste in a useful way. love, mom
earthships are homes built partialy underground and have 1 southern facing exposed wall they require no heat or cooling at least thats my understanding of em
If you go here - http://www.earthship.org - you can read about earthships... Soaringeagle is right, but I think one of their coolest features is the fact that they're made from used tires!!! love, mom
that's totally what I plan on doing when I get a space for a garden. I have two pigs, and man do they poop a lot!
I hardly see how those guinea pigs are being exploited for their poo. That's not her purpose of having them. It's better to use it rather than throw it away.
good point, better to use it than to throw it away... do you use your own poop or do you throw it away?
My pigs are not here for their poo... they are "junior members" of our family. They were rescued, and live in the lap of luxury here. I just happen to have found a use for all that poo other than tossing it in the trash. (it won't flush) I have researched blackwater recycling, and would love to encorporate it into our home. Unfortunately this is one of those modifications that will have to wait until we can move our home onto our own land. It's not permitted in my county. But yes, I will be using human fertilizer as well, just as soon as I can. love, mom
i wa conciderring a business..build a bunch of self composting porta potties, rent em out for fests, then sell the compost to organic farms more environmentaly freindly and double the proffits..lol but ye mom if i got some land i do love the eazrthship idea with blackwater recycling been interested in earthships for years
i don't know about that soaring eagle, you may get accused of exploiting all the people of the earth for their poop
