umm... I dont know how to react to all of those threads about datura... Im a little scared to see its gaining more particular attention towards teenagers my age ... people buying seed packages without even knowing theyre very lethal... Like someone else mentionned. Id imagine a sticky in this forum about the dangers of datura... not necessarily to brainwash people so they NEVER consume datura (although, it truely is the best thing to do... ive done it after research, and i couldve kept living without it... wouldve been better actually) but at least to let people know before they post a datura thread about the real potential dangers and effects of this plant...
Ingesting anything from that whole family of drugs in an attempt to get high is stupid. IDK how anyone would be interested in it. Just read some of the reports on erowid about it, and listen to some of the stories posted here.
there are other threads were people share theyre horror stories in an attempt to try to warn off all the possibly deadly attempts to get high off this and even with 100 people saying how deadly and not fun it is it only takes 1 sayin yea i kinda like it..and that 1 post will get some kids interested if we do do asticky wich i'm in absolute full suport of, i think there should be an option for a special thread rule that any posts suggesting its use in any way should be deleted it only takes 1 irresponcible post to kill someone
someone check this out... but ive been told that datura means poison in sanskrit maby even modern hindi and urdu ......ive got a hindi dictionary but its not phonetic so its useless to me .
Wouldn't doubt it, if a would-be datura eater looked into the mechanics of how datura works and actually understood it, I doubt they would even want to do that to their body.
That sucks dude, but thanks for posting, more people should come forward with their horror stories. I mean, erowid has shitloads, but we need more regular posters in here posting the dangers so we can make a sticky. I think regular posters seem more 'real' than an anonymous exp report on erowid. Man, from what I remember (My college days are long past) these drugs (belladonna alkaloids) block a vital neurotransmitter in your brain from working... this neurotransmitter tells your muscles how to move and shit among other things, I believe the specific neurotransmitter is acetylcholine. Other psychedelics like LSD or psilocybin fit into a neuron and although there may be serotonin or dopamine fluxuations, it doesn't BLOCK things from working up there.
Let me tell everyone, don't do jimson weed. Bad stuff. My best friend and I did it Friday night, and we both had to go to the hospital, after shitting, pissing, and puking all over my house and tearing it up. I'm not going to lie, the hallucinations experienced on it are EXTREMELY realistic, but the horrors from it outweigh any small positives of it. My best friend for several years had to go to the ER, where he fought with the nurses and doctors, ripped out his IVs and capiter, had to be tied to the bed, almost had a heart attack, and had to be taken to ICU (Intensive Care Unit) where he didn't sleep at all the whole weekend and only came out of it at 4am on Sunday. I can not overestimate how horrible and dangerous jimson weed is. Don't think that we took too much of it, were unexperienced, it was our first time high, we couldn't control ourselves or anything else, because that's not the truth. We had done a good number of drugs before, some good, some bad, and nothing could compare us for this. We've also been able to control ourselves around many people while high on weed, shrooms, and DXM, all at the same time, and not get busted, but there is virtually no way to take jimson weed and not get caught, taken to the hospital, and/or die. I highly suggest a sticky about it. If you guys make one, I'll be sure to give my whole story in hopes of preventing the horrible use of this horrible, horrible drug. Hell, I don't know if I'll ever be the same. I'm afraid it might have scarred me for life.
A sticky... warning people, that a drug is dangerous??? Edjumucation is the key. Moderation. Respect of the substance. Should there be a sticky for every substance that is discussed here? Is there a sticky for alcohol? Alcohol kills more people yearly. Alcohol poisoning is not a fun thing either. Oh... I know... it is legal therefore not harmful. Crystal meth? Coke? Synthetics? Inhalants? What about opiates.... lack of knowledge might just drop you dead in seconds... We could just make one big sticky that says DRUGS CAN KILL! I guess it just might save one person's life! Never mind all the white out advice to 14 yo's~! Inhalants are just fine for the growing mind! Ah hell.... why would they want inhalants... when they can learn all they want about pharmies, from people here! Them things are like candy.... hardly harmful at all! Is it not ironic.... that people want a sticky about the dangers of datura.... when the first thing written under "Exotic Psychedelic Plants" is "Discuss datura, morning glories, woodrose, etc." Sure makes it seem welcoming to the substance and it's discussion. A sticky on the proper usage of this particular substance and the dangers... just might encourage more people to be aware of it.... and try it. It might be bad to some but to others.... very special. It is that case with most drugs. Maybe it's message is just not meant for everyone Would I personally turn others on to these plants.... no. Would I preach to others that they are dangerous... no. Would I try to teach someone that is interested in the plants.... about the plants and the substance and any dangers? Yes. People are going to do what they want to do anyways.... regardless of what advice they are given. It is human nature. Especially for younger folks that learn from trial and error. They do not care about hearing how someone says they did it, or that they saw thier friend do it, and it was bad... they have to find out themselves. Sucks that they can indeed kill themselves in the process. But so can you... with all the other things that are contained in this section. SE... you seem to be die hard on a sticky for this. I would love to hear your experience/s with these types of plants and substances. I am curious as to what made you so against them. I am guessing, you are not making assumptions and basing your opinions (which is given as advice to people), on something that you have not tried personally, or have read places or heard through others Coming from someone that seems quite respectable, dare I almost say elder... it sometimes helps for younger people to have the story along with the "don't do this". I find that your little quips telling people not to do it... do not really give any insight, other than what anyone can read everywhere on the net. Sometimes, to me, they seem more condecending than enlightening. So, who do I talk to about getting a condom sticky, in the forums, telling people to "Wrap that Rascal" and save the world from overpopulation?

I'VE DONE DATURA PROBABLY ABOUT 10 TIMES EVERY TIME I HAD A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, NOT ONLY DOES IT MAKE YOU SEE SHIT THAT IS LIKE LIVING IN A HORROR FILM, YOU CAN ACTUALLY FEEL WHATS HAPPENING I HAD MY LEG CUT OFF ( not really ) but when i was trippin i could actually feel and see the leg gone, You dont even want to know the description of the disgusting creature that took it off.
