Can I use Bacardi 151 to make green dragon, or would it be a waste?

Ideally you want to use some grain, like almost 100% liquor, but 151 will work in a pinch. You have to let that shit sit for a while and FWIU it tastes foul. Better off making like brownies or leary biscuits and drinking the liqs seperately.

Im sure it must hit harder with green dragon though, nothing to digest but liquid.

But youd have to make it strong so youre not just really drunk and a little high

why not make some honey oil and dilute it in whatever liquor you like? that shit goes a long way. i like it in tanqueray for "gin and chronics."

yeah, 151 is low grade and low class....just high alcohol.....i got some recently cause i was poor and figured that since it was just strong rum it might taste like NORMAL rum if i diluted it to normal rum's alcohol level.....but it still tastes like shit. i actually bought some soda for the first time in months to drink it with instead. i got my blender out today, and i'll try and make blender drinks with it tonight. damn, i'm sorry i got it! but i bet it WOULD work for green dragon.

now to my understanding, green dragon is an extremely high proof herbal liqueur using nothing but your booze and pot. i made a cannabis based liqueur a long while ago using 100 proof vodka, some spices to make it taste a bit better, and some simple syrup to dilute it a bit as well as sweeten and smooth it out. this made it pretty weak as far as alcohol is concerned, and i reckon it was between 25-35%ABV. it tasted alright, but really didnt do the trick. i dont think i used enough pot, and i dont think the base spirit was strong enough.

151 should work better, but i'd say everclear would be your best bet. in many places you cannot buy everclear, but it is legal to actually have it. if you happen to live in such an area, and your state also allows alcohol to be purchased online, then i'd recommend going to www.beerliquors.com (BTW they ONLY ship to states that legally allow you to order alcohol through the mail!)

i still suggest that it be diluted in the end to make it more drinkable, to prevent having to mix it in something else. i'd say fill a mason jar of any size to the top with well ground, preferably high grade pot, and perhaps a few spices (in VERY small amounts) and maybe some honey if you like. fill to the top with either the 151 or the everclear, and let it macerate for a month...or two...or three. after this is done, strain it off and cut with a simple syrup to cut down the strength and make it taste better. i'd say go no lower than 45%ABV though, so use half the volume of the base in syrup if using 151, or use equal parts syrup and everclear. for reasons of taste i'd say you should age this another month after this, but thats the homemade liqueur making hobbyist in me speaking. it wont make it more THC rich to do this.

i've only tried the one time, with mediocre results. this is the method i intend to follow the next time round. my problem was using a lower ABV spirit to macerate the cannabis in as well as not using enough cannabis, i believe. it will take a LOT of trials for me to find a concoction that would be both palatable and potent, so dont expect this to be palatable! this is the best idea i have to making a working green dragon....

the longer the maceration, the better the extraction. temperature and time are key. the higher the temp, the quicker the extraction can be successfully done. the lower the temperature, the longer you need to macerate the cannabis (at LEAST a month at room temperature)

the problem with working with highly alcoholic spirits like 151 proof rums and grain alcohols is that its even less safe to heat them up to speed the extraction than it would be with normal spirits. unless you've got a solid understanding of chemistry procedures, i STRONGLY urge you to sacrifice the time to do it safely rather than burn your houses down. the vapor from heated alcohol can also be flammable! so while in theory it would be a lot easier and quicker to use heat, in practice this is very dangerous! i suggest average folks not do this - i know i wont.

    be safe, and good luck!
