I live in Illinois and our Congressional process is being mocked by this sick man. Barak Obama wants to run an intellectual, clean, good campaign. His competetor, Jack Ryan, had to leave the race, due to revelations that he tried to get his wife to engage in kinky sex acts at a sex club, and Ryan lied to his own party (the Repubs) about the situation. They could get NO ONE to run, so they pulled this person, Keyes from MARYLAND. Now, he was one of the first to diss Hillary for not living in New York LONG ENOUGH to run for Senate, and now Keyes doesn't even live here himself. It appears he has NO intention of actually moving to our state (oh, he will get an "address" but he and his wife will NOT be moving here) and knows NOTHING about Illinois or the people in it. When he is asked ANYTHING about the state, for which he is "running" for Senate, he starts some bizzare rant that Obama's Pro Choice stance on Abortion (which is not even an issue on the Illinois docket this year) is on par with the actions of white slave holders during the Civil War. WHAT THE FUCK is he talking about? No one seems to know. Even Tucker Carlson was laughing at him the other day on CrossFire. The man makes no sense. He won't get votes in Northern IL, which is pretty Liberal and has a LOT of black voters, and he definately won't get votes Downstate from the Good Ole Boys. HE is the best the Republicans could come up with? Pathetic. Thank Heaven for Obama!!!!
Yeah I live in Illinois too. It's seriously wierd, Keyes is a nutjob, and I don't get why the GOP's getting a guy who has had nothing to do with Illinois.
I don't know about his politics, but i think that Jack Ryan should be given more understanding. I mean, afterall, he only tried to get his wife, jeri ryan, to have sex with him in front of other people. Hell, if i was married to Jeri Ryan I would have our coupling sessions broadcast in high-def to that video screen thing in time square. I agree Keyes is "stone cold nuts." He also doesn't give a flying rat shit about Illinois or the people in it. Is the GOP so ignorant that they think just throwing an other African American into the race will get them a win? Keyes is a shameless self promotor. The man doesn't know and doesn't CARE about those of us in IL. Obama does. That's about it.
I understand what all of you are saying, but I'm confused. If this guy has no chance in hell of winning anyway, and this is the best they could come up with, then shouldn't you all be happy that the liberal is a definite win? Is there no pleasing anyone these days? I mean you really shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. Or some shit like that. If the GOP wants to be stupid, let them be stupid, they are good at it.
