has got to be one of the greatest composers ever.....I love his Canon in D minor for piano......stunning......
I absolutely love all of the Canon remakes done by metal guitarists. Search for Canon in youtube and I'm sure one will find so many renditions of this timeless masterpiece.
Well, I cringe at the sound of sloppy distorted guitar playing his peices, but on classical guitar, they sound great! I play a few of em.
Pachelbel did not right any music for the piano, he was dead before it was invented. Canon in D major, for three violins, viola, Continuo and contrabasso is what it's all about, It is incredibly well written and very inspiartional
I enjoy it. And play the piano version (one of them) but it's been far overused as a marriage ritual walking-the-aisle stereotypical hymn of hymns.
I cannot like canon in D....i played cello for some time, and that was part of our reperitoire......and the cello part is nothing but whle notes for 10 min. My arm always went numb.
I've only heard his Canon in D, but it's a good piece. I should listen to more, though. I mean his music IS in my favorite genre. (Baroque!)
The Canon in D... argh. I cannot stand that piece, it just drives me up the wall. For a humorous take on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdxkVQy7QLM I do however like Eno's Three Variations on the Canon in D Major on Discreet Music.
blehck. not only do i not like baroque (sorry it's like listening to math) but i haaate pachelbel. AHUKFBEJW.
