Hello all. i have a couple things that have been buggin me 1. If god is everywhere then howcome there is so much poverty,war, and disease in the world today. If he is all powerful couldnt he just make it all dissaper or even better never happen? 2. How come there is no proof of gods existance? simple and to the point. 3. How do you know the bible is real if it was origionally storys passed down, then retranslated multiple times? Also how come so many storys coincide with other storys of different religions?
1. This is Earth, not Heaven. Life is a teacher, and it can be hard, really hard. It's important though to remember (this is my belief) that God dosen't bring hardships on to you or punish you, life does that. 2. The fact that we are here should be enough proof for anyone. The fact that you can feel joy or happiness. I read a book called "Atom" and it explained how in the big bang certain things had to happen to produce matter, to produce life. And these certain things had a one in a billion chance of happening, but they did. I'm sorry I can't recall what those things were exactly but Im not much of a science guy. The point is I just can't beleive that we were put here by chance. Also the fact that humans seek spirituality. The fact that we yearn for something higher, something infinite, beyond this plane of existence. People who truly practice their religion know, they do not believe, that their is a God. 3. I can't back up the Bible. Some believe it's the word of God and live their life by it. I don't. I don't believe that all of it is true and believe that it has probably been altered. The epic of Gilgamesh was written long before the Bible and the story of Noahs Ark resembles it considerably. Though you can believe in God and not believe in the Bible. You don't have to be part of an organized religion to love and know God.
1. There is so much poverty and war because there is so much evil in this world. God could make this all dissapear, and we could all be robots. God gave us free will to chose good over evil. Those who live for God will make the right choices. God is calling a people out of this world. For those who love God, are next home will be heaven. 2. Christians believe that the Bible is Gods word. Recent findings in the day we live is bring home the fact, that the bible is true. Finding the Red Sea crossing site, mount sinia, the sealed east gate in Jerusalem, the fulfilled prophecies, with more to come, so many things are happening now and most of the world is to busy watching sports or something else to notice what is happening. 3. Please give an example.
1. The world is not G-d's, it's the devil's. It's the lowest level of existence, and it's actually 'hades' but no one quite understands that. Once you believe and find the truth, it's promised to you that you will escape this place, nevermore to return. Two positive aspects to this: at least it can't get any worse! You'll be leaving hell as soon as you recognize it for what it is. Once you leave, you won't have to worry about returning in the only way possible, 'falling' from grace. The original fall occurred because one entity did not recognize that he was not G-d, and so boasted vainfully and in error, and boom! Here we are. That was the sin, not some BS about eating apples and knowledge being wrong. Knowledge of the fact that G-d is superior to all, and Perfect, will prevent any arrogant and disastrous boasting on your part, and you'll stay above and forget about below! 2. There is. It's called the Fibonacci numbers. Check this out:proof 3. About the bible being 'real'--wrong question. Is it truth? Undoubtedly. Read it as a whole book, look at the stories, the symbols, the repeating themes. Do not use it for any sort of text book or reference book. It's not a historical document, nor an archeology text. It's also not a census report or a book of statutes. It is a beautiful and perfect illustration of perfect love, and the gift of knowledge and thought, and the Word of Truth. It is rich in symbolism and allegorical instruction. It is perfect in the telling of the story of the groom and the bride, and the resolution of undying love. It is imperfect viewed otherwise, and is not truly the Word of G-d unless you read it with your mind cleared of all preconceptions and expectations. Look for what it's telling you, desire to find only the truth (of G-d, not man), and all things hidden will be revealed. No lie. I'll explain more if you believe what I said. Let me know. Regardless, just don't stop seeking the truth. That alone will answer every question you will ever have! As well as get you out of this hell-hole we call earth to the real earth, above!

I mean if their is a Go9d and he so-called loves us then why does he create death and why does he create rapes and murders and stuff... i know couldn't he make it all disapear... I mean for one thing he isn't a magician... 2. How come there is no proof of gods existance? simple and to the point. yea i know... their is no proof whatsoever... the man made bible doesn't tell us a whole lot except for another hurculese or another Roman God or godess like Zues and aphrodite. I mean we weren't there when everything was formed so how do we know that their was a magical guy?? I mean just by a bunch of rumors and different beliefs.. I mean how do you know what's right and wrong? How can their be a big powerful God?? I mean their have been different God's all throughout history, all different kinds of "god's." It's like a fairy tale believing in a great man that will make all your wishes come true and that you can dump all your crap on and that will make you come live in some special place when you die and then the devil some guy surrounded by fire (the steriotypical devil) that if your bad you go see him... I mean their is no real evidence that "God" was real I mean you don't see any of his magical dust left behind or whatever. You don't see any pictures of him making a person and stuff... all you see is a man. 3. How do you know the bible is real if it was origionally storys passed down, then retranslated multiple times? I mean what's with all these bibles... and all these translations??? I mean why would they keep changing the bible all the time??
You say the bible is the word of truth and then tell us not to look to the bibles archeology or to its historical aspect. If that is the case then the bible is nothing but a book of lies that can not be depended on for anything. The stories in the bible are stated as facts and modern archeology is proving this. I believe the bible as it is written you believe it is a book of fairy tales. If I believed what you believe, there is no way on Gods green earth that I would depend on this book for my eternal salvation. When God said He flooded the whole earth I believe it. Queenannie, can you explain to me how it is that they are finding pillar lava 14,000 feet on top of mount Ararat? You see, pillar lava can only form when molten rock is pushing out of volcanic vents which are surmerged underwater.
God made the potential for poverty, war, rape, etc. But it is MAN that ultimatley creates these tragedies. They are our creation. Where is the proof that love exists? It's something we feel but can't scientificly explain.
but if you do believe in a God then he so-called put those thoughts in your minds to do such things as rape and create povery and all that shit he conrtols you... and controls what your doing and what you think... so you don't have to think for yourslef because you know theirs a "god" that can do all the thinking and all that shit for you... If he created you then he created every damn thing about you... he created your thoughts and everything that goes on in that mind of yours... i don't believe in a God.. I don't believe in having something take control of me./.. I don't believe in him I believe in myself... I believe that people should believe in themselves before believeing in something that has supernatural powers and is everywhere like spiderman... and all that...
ok believeing in love and believeing in God is two totally different things... yea sure I may feel love but I certainly don't feel God... I still don't know what love is anyways... well you can scientificaly explain that their is a God... nobody can... i mean you don't have photos of God doing some magic... I don't see any photos of him making cows or making people. All you may see is just a man with a big rumor or story...
Nowhere in The Bible does it say God makes people kill other people, or rape them or commit any sin for that matter. You said it yourself and in fact proving us right. You make up your own mind. We are human with free will buried in our souls. God did not create sin. We are the ones sinning. Christians are tested daily on their faith and loyalty to God. Also, you are right, none of us that are alive actualy saw God with our own eyes. However, in studying history and acheology we see proof of His existence. Again, you choose to believe it or not. Let me ask you this, you believe dinosaurs roamed the earth correct? Why? Because someone found proof of their existence. Well, if you would read a few of the other topics in this forum, you would see where there is more and more proof of God's existence. You would see how The Bible has predicted so many things that would happen that have happened. In the end it is your decision to believe or not. But don't come in here and tell me or whoever else about things you don't understand. I can understand if you actualy did some research and learned what it is you are talking about. But this isn't the case right now. I am glad you are here asking questions(I am refering to iscreamchocolate) but when you make generalizations like you are making, it kind of just makes you look, well, uninformed.
1. well, i guess its because of free will. im not sure, im not big on religion becuase my religious views are very unique. 2. "proof" can mean different things to different people. i myself think that the earth is proof of a god-like aura...but some people have "experiences" and such. 3. the bible was written by people. case and point. dont waste your time with it. religion should be completely individual in my opinion. of course its good to maybe have a base with some group or religion...but i think what u believe cant really be explained to anyone else. most people just follow a set religion because they are afraid. peace and love....sorry if i offended anyone
G-d and love are the same thing, G-d is the source of love. It's just like being a friend to have a friend. Give love and that's what you will receive. If you're not getting it back, then what you think is love is misquided in some way. Love is a total gift, without any expectation of return. Just love, anything, even a pet. That's the best place to start, IMO.
actually the first question is a very typical question about god and "the hardships" we suffer as humans. free will and the strive to supremacy has rendered the world a sad and volatile place. yes it will be argued free will was gien to us by god and it is one of the most deadly of weapons. this is true but with free will god also gave us lessons and teachings to abide by. as was said before he was a teacher and just like all teachers, he could only take us so far until we walked the rest of the way ourselves. personally i don't know why people even focus on that one....dont let thousands of years of existance and amazing feats stand in the way whatever ye do lads. not to mention billions of years of evolution and the millions of people who work to save those who are in impovrished circumstances. however i dunno how one would account for landslides and the likes...i figured it was mother earths way of sayinstop messin with me.....i am your foundations you know....if she could tal that is.
1.Again its free will...bet u've heard that many atime....God made a world....he made people and told us what he expected....he gabve us the free will to comply....we did not...therefore we created all these bad things...God is a constant ...he is always the same....he still expects these things from us....and has still given us free will. 2.WE are the proof of Gods existence....sure...we cant see God...but we can see how he affects people....thats why there are so many christians in the world...we're not lost....we've all found the same thing. 3.i honestly dont't kno why our stories are like that of other religions....but i kno th ebible is true and real as Gods influence was uppon it whe it was being wrote...and I believe in God.
