    Last Night
    (June 11, 2006)

    I've known for a while
But it hit me hard last night
    Holding you in my arms
    It just felt right
    No words were spoken
    Only silent bliss
    Looking in your eyes
    Just before we kissed
    My heart was racing
It was hard for me to breathe
    There's just something about you
That makes me weak in the knees
    Trying to go to sleep
    Lying in the bed
I could think about nothing else
    Only what we said
We said we love each other
I have never felt that before
But I really do love you
    Of that, I am sure.

This poem is about the first time Kari and I told each other that we love each other. I thought it would be nice to comemorate the day.

    Our Life Together

    A couple of dogs
    Picket fences
    I'm the mister
    You're the missus
    Lying in the bed
    With a big ass bong
    Taking mega-tokes
    All night long
    Growing old
    Our hair turns grey
    We'll be together
    Until our dying days
    I love you
    And I love these feelings
    I can't wait
    To make you Kari Williams
    It's not a proposal
    Not just yet
    But it is a promise
    And it will be kept.

I wrote this for her before we got engaged.

    Our Path

    Where are we headed?
    Only God knows
    We'll just have to wait
    And see where it goes
    Two paths become one
    Our hearts intertwined
    What's mine is yours
    And what's yours is mine
    I share your pain
    Your happiness too
    Whatever happens
    I will be with you
    100 percent
    I give you my heart
    Smoking blunts with our grandkids
    I hope we never part
The way you make me feel
    I've never felt before
    What is loneliness?
    I don't know anymore
    I love you so much
    I'll say it again
    I love you so much
    I hope this never ends.

    Any thoughts?

I feel it in my heart
    Everytime I kiss you
    When we're apart
    I always miss you
You make this place worth the stress
    I look into your eyes
And completely forget about the rest
    You make me feel high
    Whenever you're near
I hope you feel the same
    This raises my only fear
    Thoughts of abandonment
    Run through my mind
    I am weary
    Because they leave me everytime
    I start to get close
    Then they disappear
    I feel so alone
    Then come the tears
My heart aches when I think about it
    Then I see your face
And I completely forget about it
Thanks for the picture by the way
I can just look at it
And all thoughts of abandonment are
    All gone away.

This was the first poem I wrote for her. what do you think?

Those are nice, man. No better inspiration in the world than love. Only thing I didn't like was in the third one, the "smoking blunts with our grandkids" line is out of place with the rest of the poem.

It actually means more than it says. I put it in there to express my wishes to still be with her long enough to have grandchildren and how much it would mean to us to be able to smoke with them when they are old enough.

Yeah, true, I got that, but it just didn't fit there. A different poem, maybe, but not that one. Just my opinion, though.

Also, weed is a HUGE part of our relationship and we wouldn't even be together if it wasn't for weed and we may not have even met each other in the first place without weed. I just saw her sitting on the stoop at Job Corps, never having met her or even hearing her name, and I invited her to smoke two blunts with me. That week, I smoked 40+ blunts with her and we got really close really fast. So I would say that line fits the poem, or at least the sentiment.

Yeah it was a lot of blunts for fuckin $10 each at job corps. I had just recieved my tax return, which was just over $400 and I spent it all on prerolled blunts, because that's all that was available.

I don't know what to say. Cheesy words of 'omfg I like them sooo much!' seem terribly out of place.

It's so sweet to see this expression of the love between you two; so sweet. I'm all smiley now! :)
