If one does not go to vote out the greater of the evils holding political positions then nothing will change. Keeping the greater of the evils in office is dangerous because the more power evil wins, the more powerful that evil becomes, the greater mistakes that evil could make. Sometimes once a mistake has been made, one cannot go back to the time before the mistake. Seems the best option would to deal with a slight evil compared to a huge one.

Of course the idealistic option is to vote for a candidate because that person believes that he or she will do the best possible job in that position, compared to keeping the worse of the options out of office.

ETHER WAY VOTE, OR IN THE END, YOU CANNOT COMPLAIN, BECAUSE YOU DID NOTHING TO STOP IT.

the only thing that would stop me from voting would be someone with a gun pointed at my gut, whether i think my votes are going to be counted and counted accurately or not.

that or some other physical force of restraint.

i don't believe in many things about the system we've got, but i believe in expressing my oppinions and preferences every way and chance that won't get me killed i get.

I voted yes on 44! Legalize it.

everyone who can should vote, regardless of hotwater's advise.

There are way to many excuses and justifications for not voting. If it was really meaningless why do the politicians spend billions campaigning?

The only reason I am voting is to vote against the cigarette tax bill because mentally ill people and those who are homeless are going to be the only ones affected...I could give a shit about anything else. Camejo isn't going to win and Arnold is quite commical and can't fuck up our state any worse.
I HATE voting though..the smell, the snotty old ladies, waiting in line argh...I would rather get a bikini wax

I voted ............ no waiting in any line for me this time...... last voting year, at the same polling place, I had to wait at least 15 minutes before I even got to check to see if my name was in the books..... but , last voting year was also the presidential election, and I think I went in to vote much later in that day....

Fine, Your right. But there still spending tons of cash and time trying to win our votes. That leads me to believe that our votes must be worth something. I'm not sure what, but something.

Actually I'm in Colorado. If 44 passes, I think that (by state law) one ounce or less would be legal to possess.
