Who else finds it hard to get motivated to move in winter?
As it gets dark earlier at that time, I don't get out to run after work, its just too darn cold... is it just me or is that a common problem??

I hear you sister! It's just so easy to hide under those nice big comfy sweaters. I've always been one to prefer to exercise outdoors but since moving to the city, in a "bad" area and with winter approaching, it's just really hard to do anything outdoors. Of course I could always go to the school gym but it's always packed with pesky wrestlers and smells like ass.

it's WAY EASIER for me to exercise and get motivated in the winter. most people gain 10 pounds or so during the holidays. i'm so freaking anxiety ridden during the winter and holidays that it verges on hysterical behavior.

I actually end up LOSING weight in the winter and gaining it in the summer. I work two jobs in the winter, one as a dance instructor, so...I'm always on the go and busy in the winter. Summers are more laid back and lazy for me.

I get motivated by two things:
    1. OMFG I'm going to be huge in a few months if I don't get moving.
    2. Tanning or being in sunlight all the time.

Being in sun makes me happy. Makes me do stuff. Tanning is lame, but one winter it really brought me out of a funk, so whatever. Sunlight - yay!

I can understand that. In the winter I just want to be cozy.

But I've been bellydancing and all I wanna do is dance now.. So find something you enjoy and then it wont be just a duty.

I suggest skipping. Good for cadiovascular. Great for toning, great for fitness, and you can do it in the safety of your own back yard... Trust me, once you've done 5 minutes of skipping, you wont want to be in a jumper... you'll wanna be naked

Yeah, somedays it's tough to want to exercise out in the cold (I power walk) but I keep thinking how nice and toned I'll be come warmer weather again, so it's all good! Keeps me going!
