It is a great acet to have on our high streets. I have two 99p stores about a mile apart and offer superb value for your coppers. Yesterday I bought a whole crate of Nestle Peanut Supligen for only 99p. I also bought some Mushroom and pork thingy pate.Three jars which looks as though it was imported from Russia. For DVD blanks, they have like two for a pound. RWs. So what was the last thing you bought at a 99p shop?
Bought a frozen cake in one once. Don't really visit them much, wish I had one in my area, would be great for the student lifestyle....
The dollar stores over here are fantastic! I go there a lot for things like shampoo and soap and lotion, and I also buy chalk, crayons and playdough for my little cousin there And like Sal said, they're fantastic for students...
When I was living in Worthing some years back. In that strange arcade which had a sainsbury or some kind of shopping centre opposite what was Safeway at the time, I saw a fifty pence shop.
There's a poundland in Exeter, but not a 99p shop... well jealous, or I would have been if I hadn't moved to Prague.
ah in birmingham i believe poundland shut down after the 99p store opened. there is also a 98p chinese shop in the pallasades shopping centre. i bought movies, multipacks of bottled water, cleaning products, big boxes of mixed biscuits and all sorts in the 99p shop...24 bags of crisps for 99p, cd cases, all sorts...theyre amazing - ahhh miss cheap shopping
Avoid the cheap recordable dvds. The DataStore versions. When I burned a few videos, they turned out rubbish. Also when I did a few VCDs on Datastore cdrs, it kept skipping as though the cd wasn't clean. But it was shining however. Best ones to go for are the Mitsubishi or TDK. Just thought you would like to know.
