:D to be honest, i don't think i've read enough books to have a top ten list!! the only other book i've read that i reaally liked, was The Talisman by Stephen King and Peter Straubb. that's definitely second favourite, next to Ishmael. :)

thanks for your appreciation AfricaUnite :D

Hmm I never got into Stephen King, but I did order Ishmael from the library, if its half as good as I think a book about conversations with a gorilla will be then I'll pick it up at amazon. Thanks again for the tip off, I may never have found this book otherwise. [IMG]

Great book! I've read this one, along with his others (My Ishmael, The Story of B, Providence, Beyond Civilization..). He's a great author. Great to see another reader. :)

I've read it too.. I started "My Ishmael" but found that it was basically the same thing only with a kid character so I sent it back to the library early.

hm, i think it would be interesting to have the same story, but a kid instead of a man. kids think a lot differently than adults, for sure.

I never made it all the way through Ishmael because of school, sports, etc. but I did read My Ishmael for a class in high school and thought it was an excellent book.
