Greetings Mike, and well come to the forums. This poem is good, in my opinion very good, but then I judge by how well it speaks and communicates the authors heart. I think the poem has the potential to be excellent, however the exact mechanics of that, I don't even know the names of. I've never studied poetry and my poems reflect this, I believe it's called "freeform", and sometines what I write is prose. Almost without exception my poetry represents "spontaneous writing events", I call these "muse written" as the "I" of my mind, has very little to do with what is written, in fact the first incidents of this sort I was entirely unaware I'd written a poem. I do like, and repect that you can illucidate one of the, very human, yearnings , and as well that you seem to be actively involved in what direction your mentality takes as it continues to develop.
