Just had 400 quid vanish from my account. Checked it out and some fraudster bastard's got hold of my details and taken it out. Don't know how it happened. Thankfully banks says they can get the money back to me, but it's a pain in the arse....

Nope no idea. The bank suggested that someone might have tampered with the ATM machine to record and transmit my account details. I've certainly not given anything out to anyone. Curiouser and curiouser....

Do you buy stuff online? If so it's not hard for a malicious program or a fradulent website to get your details.

Good that you're getting it back though. My friend had £6000 cleared out in less than 4 hours a few months back. Not a nice thing to happen.

Arses, sorry to hear about that young Salman. Could they have cloned your card somewhere? Now you have to put your PIN in every time you buy something it just takes one dodgy dealer and they have everything they need to access your account...

Identity fraud is now one of the most popular crimes in Britain. Tis sad, I had some bastard steal £40 from my account. Cheeky feckers.
Make sure you shred post with your personal details on and check the ATMs for suspicious devices before using it.

That is creepy. A similar thing happened to a friend of mine, someone had been using his card details online and he had managed to buy stuff for over a 1000 pounds. My friend only found out when amazon contacted him coz someone had tried to create an account using his card details but different address. Luckily they noticed it! It's crazy how stuff like that can happen.. It's making me very paranoid, especially about buying stuff online!
