I am a cheap bastard by nature and I was considering buying an ounce of dank for $200 right away rather than spending $20 for gram bags. I've read on here that you can store marijuana almost for life, so I was wondering how to go about storing it. I was thinking maybe a humidor but idk if it's necessary to go to that extreme. My friend's brother deals in harder stuff, but he can get an ounce of white widow or rocky mountain dro for about $200 while I have to pay $20 a gram for it so you can see why I'd like to save $360. This would last me at least 5 months so I'm looking at relatively long term storage. I've been storing my grams in a tin about 1/3 the size of an altoids tin, but that holds about 3g total and idk if it would dry out if I had it longer. Any and all ideas are appreciated, thanks.
You dont wanna risk mold. Storing it in an air-tight place is the only reccomendation I can give. I use a small butter-fly design box, its wood, not really air-tight but it doesnt expose it to the open, so it works very well. A humidor would work fairly well.
Would the tupperware store it for 4-5 months and it still be good (no mold, no drying out, no potentcy loss, etc.) I can't store it in a draw b/c I do live with my parents, however I have a drop ceiling in my basement that they have no clue about and that's where I stash stuff. The basement is quite humid so idk. I just want to preserve bud quality for at least 5 months.
I'm looking on ebay and I'm thinking that if a humdior will store bud for the proper amount of time it may be the way to go. They are relatively cheap and most are large enough to hold a couple ounces, a pipe or 2, and a lighter. Plus some have a little lock on the front, not enough to keep someone out if they want in, but enough to deter my parents and brother. It's like a stash box almost. Then again, will a humidor store bud for 4-5 months without a loss of quality?

How you plan to make a single oz of marijuana last you for 4-5 months I do not know. But if you can, more power to ya.
Man, grass doesn't last around me long enough to even contemplate needing anything for long-term storage. But if you can make an oz. last that long, rock right on.
I mainly only smoke on weekends. Assuming I only smoke once per day on weekends @ 1/2g per session an ounce shoul last me 56 sessions, which is 4 grams a month plus special occasions and maybe a time or two during the week. I have school so I have to tone it down during the week. Then again maybe I'm just a naive little wanna be stoner who will find out 2 months in that everythings gone and he's broke, but my idea was to save money and always have a stash available. No one here knows a reliable dealer, they are all kids (like me) so half the time they're drunk at a party when you call them and they won't hook you up because they're busy. So to get that much weed, at cost, and to always have a small supply would be awesome. On an unrelated note I think I smoked mids last night. I bought a dime bag from my friends aunt and got triple the amount that I got for a $20 bag of whitewidow. I definately noticed a difference in quality. The weed smelled like smoke and had a very menthol like taste and smell to it. We smoked it all and we got fucked up, and then his aunt shoved a bowl full of halloween candy in front of us. We ate over 2 pounds of chocolate and caramel. We then proceeded to go outside and vomit. Then we were cracking up at the fact that we were so stupid, but I was so high that I kept like zoning out of reality and almost losing consciousness but not. Then his uncle drove us home, and idk about him but for me the road in front of us was all I could see it was awesome almost like a roller coaster.
Haha, sounds like you were high as shit. I have a Nug jar that fits about 1 1/2 - 2 ounces. I just keep my stash in there and open the lid for 10 minutes every 3-4 days. If you do that potency will increase not decrease.
If you store weed in an airtight container and it's till moist, take the top off every dy for a few minutes. As weed breaks down, a gas is generated in the sealed container. When the container is full of this gas, the decomposition ceases. The gas must be exhausted so the process to continue. This is called CURING. The chorlophyll breaks down, sugars are converted, non psychoactive alkaloids change into psychoative ones. Curing makes the weed smoke cooler, smell and taste better, and increases potency by up to 30%. But you have to do it at the right time. Crispy-dry weed doesn't cure.
im getting 1/2oz of widow soon and im just planning on keeping it in a small tupperware container and keeping it in my closet.. ^^will that method work for this situation?
