Alright so I have a 1.5ft tall plant in my room, and in the last week I started giving it more light using a lamp, well since then I've been having crazy dreams in the night, weird psychedelic dreams that feel like salvia trips, my buddy told me that when he was growing weed he had a plant in his room and was getting bad dreams so he had to take it out of his room, and then it stopped.
Anyone else had this happen to them?

I also have a co2 generator generating co2 and ethanol gas, maybe the ethanol is causing it.

the plant can't use the co2 at night in the dark.

Ya I've explored that theory, but co2 is heavier than air and im on the top floor, so im assuming it just sinks down my stairs.

maybe its all in your head.

or its putting more oxygen in your room. oxygen can give you somewhat of a rush and then resulting in a bad dream.

or (i dont believe his) your salvia plant is spiritualy telling you you are doing something wrong with it. too much water or too little water etc etc.

    IDK

Haha, the funny part, is my dads room is across the hall, and in the last week he started getting horrible nightmares everyday, so maybe it has to do with some large enviromental change in the area.

Or just a coincidence. :O Those happen too.
Maybe the salvia plant is trying to tell you somthing.

Can't smoke it yet, not enough leaf, If I pick all of its leaves I'd have enough for like... well I wouldn't have much at all.

My plant has seen relatively slow growth; I bought it as a cutting in late September and it hasn't grown but maybe an inch or so... I don't know what's the deal. It appears otherwise quite healthy, and it's in a pretty big pot, so I doubt its roots are having problems getting bound. I keep it pretty well watered and it gets whatever natural light we get during the day (which can be a good amount some days, not so much others). I wanted to stay pretty natural with the whole thing, but maybe I need to increase the light amount? Any ideas?

I'm pretty optimistic about it growing, but I'm concerned about it's slow rate.

JOSEFUS dont worry at all man, I had the EXACT same thing. Basically as the plant starts growing it gains momentum, very slowly at first, but everyday it picks up more and more speed. I suggest giving it a light dose of miracle gro, it will pick up speed.
Also ya, just get a light near it, one of those energy save bulbs (the spiral fluorescent ones) it gives off a lot of blue light to make the leaves and stem grow.

With not enough light, any plant will grow tall & thin & stringy.

All I can say about this is that a few weeks ago I tried salvia for the first time, and whoa! What a feckin' trip!!!

Since then my dreams have been much more lucid than they already were, and they were already as real as any other "waking" experience I have had! I seem to be working out some deep rooted lessons.

If your dreams are unpleasant, understand that this is your sub-conscious expressing unpleasantness, and try to understand what it is that you are working out of your system. It could be some bad karma being played out in a relatively harmless environment (sleeping dreams), and if that's the case you should be glad that you are not working them out in a more potentially harmful environment such as your waking dreams.

Whatever the case, it is all coming from within you. Find a productive way to deal with it.

    Good luck with your plants!
