Great music comes from those instruments, I give the band a 7/10. They're not my favorite but they are still really good.

I've only really heard the well-known stuff

And as we speak, I'm downloading some of the epic 8 minute tracks. Can't wait to listen to them!

I've heard a fair amount of their stuff. It doesn't really appeal to me.

Nymphetamine, Hell Awaits and Hallowed Be Thy Name were done fairly well though.

I remember Hallowed Be Thy Name being so much better than the original Iron Maiden version, and that's what first got me to notice them years ago...

So now I've heard Nymphetatmine and a few others, I've got to say that hard and beautiful music... Extremely well worked

I DEFINITELY wouldn't say it's better, but it is well done.

It's so much darker and more menacing... sinister....

I always wished Maiden had explored the menacing thing some more..

I don't think it's better than the original neither, but for the last few years most stuff of Cradle of Filth doesn't appeal to me at all. I'm also not digging their old albums like I used to.
When Dusk and her embrace was released everybody, including me thought it was great. It was fairly new in it's kind, atmospheric black metal, and I still like that kind of black metal, but not the direction Cradle of Filth goes with it. I heard they're pretty bad live as well. Saw them once at a festival and it sounded awful indeed, not a real liveband I persume.

Maiden hasn't done it but cradle has done it for them as for the fear of the dark and hallowed be thy name covers and dani filth even said that maiden was one of their favorite group..I think that the cradle version is good but the maiden one is much better..
