i have my very own thoughts on the matter and i have been part of the rainbow phamily/family for a very long time i just want to hear your thoughts before i give you mine!!!loving you all forever and alwaysnever leaving ANYONE outMeasai recently recieved this in my e-mailSubject: Starbucks Denies Coffee to Marines !! Recently Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they wanted to let themknow how much they liked their coffee and to request that they send some of it to the troops there. Starbucks replied, telling the Marines thank you for their support of their business, but that Starbucks does not support the war, nor anyone in it, and that they would not send the troops their brand of coffee. So as not to offend Starbucks, maybe we should not support them by buyingany of their products. As a war vet writing to fellow patriots, I feel we should get this out in the open. I know this war might not be very popular with some folks, but that doesn't mean we don't support the boys on the ground fighting street-to-street and house-to-house for what they and I believe is right. If you feel the same as I do then pass this along, or you can discard it and no one will ever know. Thanks very much for your support. I know you'll all be there again when I deploy once more. "Semper Fidelis." Sgt Howard C. Wright 1st Force Recon Co 1st Plt PLT PLEASE DON'T DELETE THIS .. ALLOW IT TO BE PASSED TO ALL IN MEMORY OF ALLTHE TROOPS WHO HAVE DIED, SO THAT WE MAY HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE TO SUPPORT THEM OR NOT!!!
fuck starbucks. First off, they make children pick their coffee beans in south america and pay them a couple of cents an hour to do so. Now they are completely degrading our men and women who have to fight over in Iraq even if they are against the war? screw them and their high priced coffee! it's one thing to not be for the war, but it's a completely different story to be against our troops.
i m aginst war murder or violence in any form, thus i m for people, and i think not only should american troops be sent the coffee but also the jihadists....hell, i want some free cofee for my fight against war
Puh-leeze! Reguardless of what side of the political fence your on, please don't spread info you read in mass e-mails.. This was so obviously false I had to chime in... Here's the WHOLE story... http://www.snopes.com/politics/military/starbucks.asp
Starbucks Sucks!!!! Not only are those little kids getting paid almost nothing, Starbucks poisons the field with pesticides before they send the kids (and pregnant women) out to pick the beans. But as much as I hate Starbucks, they certainly should support the troops; Starbucks should not only send them coffee but also all the extras (flavored coffees & creamers, ect) I'm against the war but I support the troops; they didn't start the war, Bush & Haliburton (the company that's making all the money off this war) did. Maybe someone should contact an organic coffee company & see if they would be willing to send the Marines some good coffee (it's got to taste better ;-)! ) Cinnamon
sorry brother all that does is basically prove my point by saying the High holy starbucks supports the troops but doesnt want to ship them the coffee but its ok cause many of there employees send them coffee well i dont support the war but i feel for anyone that is over there~~~ so the soldier cant find the letter that starbucks wrote him ((((( he's in war)))))) im sure that didnt get put in his pocket for a keep sake and why wouldnt starbucks directly comment on this specific topic it may not all be 100% true but i do believe the facts are in orderthank you for the whole story it help me understand even more why the corperate masses such as starbucks and Walmart are slowly turning this country into a self loathing cesspool of a place i love America and i love what it stands for but i dont think the government knows what its suppose to stand for anymore and thats a sad thing to sayall my love and blessingMeasaLove and light
wow snopes .com,, its gotta be true...:dupe: i meen after all coming from a internet web site devoted to debunking the stories that get them the most advertisements,, it must be true..
right on sister!! when i was in bham bama, a brother got bit by a dog and his hand was bleeding, i went into a starbucks to get him some napkins, and they said i had to be a custamer (sorry bout the miss spelling) before i could get the napkins
i think it all depends on whose working wen they give u shit about freebies and using the bathroom...however im sure the corporate policy of starbucks goes something like this" money money, money money money, money, MORE MONEY!"...i bet they dont give two shits about the war, they just dont want to give anybody freebies, whether in iraq or anywhere...
That's a shame to hear. Tim Horton's set up thier shop in Afghanistan for the Canadian troups so it's not like it's logisitcally impossible or anything.
Save The Troops anyway , the local arabica coffees should be just fine for any local . this might include the local ceremonially elaborate and civilized way of having coffee . is snot? the ranbO! way to be home where ever you may be ...
another corporate policy is 'Let's see if we can run the little guy out of business by moving in next door!'
