nothing like spending a little money to cure the blues for a short period....

well, ive been feeling down....so i decided to buy a new pipe.

until this, i'll only have had pretty lousy pipes. this is a nice, one of a kind handcarved danish pipe (bjarne)

since ordering it, the site has taken it off their page! its wierd...i'm not used to that. i dont usually have the opportunity to buy handmade, one of a kind things.....cds, books, even glass pieces are often mass-produced....

still, its under 100 bucks, not a top-notch pipe (many cost several hundred dollars!) but i am looking forward to it very much. also got some good tobacco for it.



its getting cold out, and this might just be my answer to not liking to smoke my cigars indoors with windows and everything shut.....

cant wait till its broken in and smokes nicely....

bjarne is supposed to make pretty good pipes from what i understand, and this one also looks pretty badass

yeah, i have one or two unique glasspieces.....

well, almost all ccg pieces are "unique" but only in the most specific sense....most are made in large batches of almost identical, very similar pieces.

but this is something nice....a nice, unique briar....and a looker, too....

i've heard you can even find 20 dollar pipes that will smoke well if its well made, and like i said i've heard that bjarne makes really good pipes, so hopefully i wont be let down. it will CERTAINLY be a step up from the 20 dollar bargain bin pipe i got at the tobacconists....

anyway, i'm stoked. i got a proper pipe tamper coming, too, along with some good tobacco (mcclelland christmas cheer 2006)

 

don't ever put money in my hand when i'm sad. especially do not do it anywhere within a 100 mile radius of a decent bookstore.

 

yeah, i'd probably have been better off buying something a bit more useful, like a book, but oh well

My dad used to smoke a pipe. I still have a nostalgic moment when I smell pipe tobacco.

nah, rat, i've got more than enough pipes i use for pot, most of them glass. if i'm smoking a pipe (tobacco) i dont want to ever have pot in it because it will alter the flavor of future bowls....i wont even smoke aromatic tobacco blends in that, its going to be strictly english blends...

but yeah, many nights i'll be alternating which pipe i'm taking a puff off of...

 

if i'm gonna cure the blues with money, it usually takes alot of money
