I was watching C-Span this morning and the guest for Veterans for Freedom came out and said that victory is about controlling the oil fields there. President Bush commented on the control of Iraqi oil at his press conference about Rumsfields resignation, and also during the campaign trail. So now we know the truth about the Iraq war was about the control of their oil holdings.
Yep- that is the "noble cause" that so many live are being lost for. Now that the elections are over let the price gouging at the pump resume.
I think we are all budgeting for our holiday drives. I don't think many were fooled by the lower gas prices.
Yep- I think the implicit mandate of the new congress is to begin disentangling government from big business- most notably big oil but as long as most are fooled into believing that the senators and representative will do this on their own it'll be business as usual. Our elected public servants need to be KEPT mindful of the fact that failure to carry out their responsibilities will at very least result in their removal from office at the ballot box and could implicate them as accessories to one of the biggest frauds in history.
Kevin Nielan of Saturday Night Live did a sketch as Mr. Subliminal during the first gulf war with Iraq where he was a military officer reporting to the press on the situation of the war. He was putting out the typical drivel that we've already heard from Bush 1 and 2 but then saying those little honest phrases just under his breath subliminally between sentences. Nielan: Thank you General for your kind introduction (kiss ass). We know that there is nothing more important than human life (oil). We are receiving our military data about Iraq from the most reliable sources (CNN) and so is Saudi Arabia (ouija board). We've hit critical targets (hotel) and took out their command and control center (room service). He went on and on. It was a great sketch. .
LOL-Yea-I just called the electric company and told them I would be a little late with the bill this month cuz I had to buy gasoline to go out of town for turkey day-Man thats a first!
ya dont say..?? Too bad oil production in Iraq's fields are still below the capacity that they were at before we deposed Saddam. That just goes to illustrate the dire security situation there, in that we cant even impose enough control to allow the multinational oil cartels access to the fields at any significant rate. Way to go Iraqis, dont give in! I hope this is all over soon and Bush is gone....not likely
Possibly... our minds can't hold a candle to dizzying intellects like yours... uhh I mean there's more than one reason?????
This is totally lame. Can't you come up with any real evidence that the war was for oil? It should be easy. Come on, if it was a war for oil, where's our oil?
Well Lets see-Without oil everything grinds to a halt-That means jet planes and tanks-No war toys and then were in big trouble-If it wasn;t about the oil why didn;t we go in and recue some people being murdered in Arica?_The only reason we are there is oil because he who has the oil calls the shots-Without it we stop!-Now whats so hard to figure-It is the most precious commodity in the World and we want and need it-What you should ask is how are we gonna get enough of it to cover the cost of this mess-
It's about 10% about oil. The rest is strategic positioning of resources and assets, a test run of various desert-based tactical maneuvers, a mutual masturbation of certain nearby allies, and an intentional destabilisation with far-reaching goals.
Do you suppose the people all over this country decended on Sacramnto Cal in 1849; for the wonderful weather or the cheap land-No-it was another item everybody would kill their brothers to get at-GOLD!-Well-Oil is 10 times worse because we need it run our machines-so-The bombing of the WTC was done and we took right off straight into the oil fields to save Kuwait-Big Oil investments there-So Bush had it fugured that he could kill his old mans enemy and make papa proud of him-(as he didn't go to war and come home a hero)hard to do if ya don't show up-Whats so hard to believe in that?-We need the gooiey muck-it;s that simple and really not worth a debate-Now we should take over the oil and get back all the money we spend/spent on building their intrastructure-and if the adverage citizen wants us to leave now fine-see ya!-They can take some of thoses barrels of oil and buy an army to fight for them-We are done and they owe us Big Time-Our baby sitting days are over-it's their turn to stand and fight to keep the place-Personnally; I would have my family out of Dodge years ago-Why live in a war zone if your a citizen?
Thats interesting but 10%?-The richest oil fields in the world and we just happen to need a place to practice war games in the desert?-We went in to run Sadam out of Kuwait-then stay to take over the oil and maybe find Bin Laden in the mix-The oils is purpose of a war there-We knew for years Sadam was killing his own people-We also knew that he was not in on 911 or that he had no nukes-Bush is a liar and if you did a real deep study on his investments I will gaurentee that there will be a Haliburton investment hiding in his porfolio-It may be listed as stock in Real Estate or off shore inviromental impact studies-How to drill more and kill less -wnd how to keep the stinking liberal press from finding out-The young people today should be mad at people like Rush Limbaugh-junkie and O'Reilly-these two have helped Bush perpetuate a lie for years-Lets look forward to a new tommorro=
HMmmm ... good point. Or could it be a war for less oil & therefore much higher profits??? Peace, poor_old_dad
its about sand... iraq has vast reserves of sand with america's beaches eroding due to climate change and more powerful coastal storms, we will need iraq's vast sand reserves to replenish our beaches
its about the circular illogic of little green pieces of paper as a hedless monster making a power grab for world dictatorship and opposing any impediment to doing so potentialy imposed by any such concept as international law. the oil thing is a stratigic step in the proccess. the oil and the economics of the oil thing. the infrastructures of three and a half countries so far (one and a half of them by proxy) being destroyed along with 300plus some odd thousand civilian lives and those of close to arround three thousand of u.s. troops, being destroyed because 20 guys ripped off four airplanes and knocked down two and a half buildings with them (yes there were several other building the two big ones falling down may have helped to knock down too and perhapse arround a thousand or so lives lost there also). and i have really big doubts that this could have or did happen without someone or some several all the way at the top of our own (u.s.) government, at least, holding the door oppen for them, if not having planned and orchestrated the whole thing. =^^= .../\...
