I actually just saw this movie tonight, and my brain is still swimming. I totally had no idea that he was dreaming, until the end, but I loved !t. I'm really into lucid dreaming, but what really did it for me about this movie, is (I'm a hopeless romantic) the whole love aspect about it. You know, you meet new people everyday, and some of those people you never see again. The possibility of meeting someone, and them falling so madly in love with you that (if this whole movie plot could really happen),they hang on to your memory really touched me. Meeting again in another life, I beleive more and more that it could happen everyday, I can honestly say that I don't believe in reincarnation at this point in my life, but, when you start thinking about deja vu, and the vibes you get when you meet people, and the connections you can make with them on such deep levels when you've known them briefly, those things are adding up to help change my mind, and it sort of gives you this hope you know, about another time, a second chance...sorry guys, I've totally gone off on some crazy tangent. anyway, it's a great movie.
i dont remember too much about the movie, but i do remember penelope cruz making it for me. also i thought it was ridiculous how they had times square completely cleared out for that stupid shot in the begining of the movie
Cruz rocked, she's a total babe in that film, I don't know who I fancy more her or him or the fucking gorgeous Ferrari! When Cruise is arrested, the plaque on his photo lineup reads "W85N 494 T85 4R51M 253OM5 1 N9787M1R5?" Some elementary code-breaking reveals "WHEN DID THE DREAM BECOME A NIGHTMARE?"
I just watched the movie again today, but this time i watched it with the directors commentary. If you pay real close attention, Cameron Crowe gives you clues throughout the movie. The code during the line up is one, there's a sticker on the mustangs windshield, When he's having surgery, the ex ray has some hidden message, there are tons. It just simply fascinates me, I don't know why I am so enamored with this movie, but I just can't get it out of my head!
Searched for this thread and wow, it's five years old. This movie was on tv today. It's one of those movies I forget about until I watch it again and then it totally throws off my sense of reality.
