so, i cut my hair today. and tomorrow, mom is sending all of the hair to locks of love. i'm extremely sad to see it all gone, but it's going to a good cause, so it's all good. more than a foot gone. but thing is, i think it makes me look younger. and that sucks.
Congratulations on donating your hair to Locks of Love! That's so awesome! Yyour hair looks beautiful with the new cut! And hey, if you miss the length, you can always grow it back! Feel proud for what you did!
I don't think you look younger, if those are the recent pics, you look like a 15 year old, or 15-17 year old.
That is wonderful of you to donate your hair to such a worthy cause. It shows some real character in a nice young lady like yourself. You are truely beautiful inside and out. My wife lost all of her hair a few years ago from Radiation and chemotherepy. She was offered a chance to get a wig through one of those type of organizations (not sure if it is the same one or not) but she declined and just wore a hat most of the time. But it was nice to have an option. Thanks for your donation...
yea you still look beautiful and your hairs still nice and long..looking at how much they got for your donation, it musta been pretty long before it looks great someone was very lucky to get such beautiful hair and i know they'll really appreciate it
here's some more pics i took today... i love taking pictures on my back porch. and thanks for all the love, everyone. i miss the long hair, but i like it short too. it's been awhile.
I hate to be a downer, really I do. cut off all my hair in March of this year and refused to send it to LOL. If you read their web site, they admit that they charge for the hairpieces that they make. Sorry, I'm not getting in with any group that makes money from the suffering of children, not even easing that suffering. There's a world of difference between non-profit and not-for-profit. Someone, somewhere is lining their pockets and that's bullshit. Fourteen inches of my hair will stay in a vacuum-sealed bag.
Oh man, I didn't know they did that How sad! Do you know of any other place that accepts hair that doesn't charge for the hairpieces or wigs?
I donated my hair to locks of love too, awhile back........ I just get tired of my hair and cut it before I get it long enough, anymore.......
well. my mom hasn't sent it off yet. like annie asked, do you know a place that doesn't charge for the wigs?
ohh i just lovethis 1 but maybe u could do some google research into free wigs for cancer patients and i bet u find some maybe 1st tho look at locks of love charging polocy they maybe only charge a couple bux to cover costs and may waive those fees if ppl cant cover the costs its understandable eszpecialy if they dont ask for alotta cash donations
well. i looked up some other sites. and found "wigs for kids" and they say... Do the families have to pay for the hair replacement system? No, the families receive the hair system at no charge. and they are non-profit. i think i might send my hair there instead... anyone with any other places i could send it or any info on wigs for kids?
You cut off a pretty decent amount of hair and yet, your hair is still pretty long. You must be Rapunzel
