As I live in southeast London, I was wondering if anyone has any questions I perhaps could pencil in for them?
Okey, I do reverse psychology. You do have questions In response to your question about Lewisham, Lewisham is set in a valley. The highest point of Lewisham is Hilly fields. The lowest point is Sundermead estate. Lewisham is going through a transition so to speak. Cornmill Gardens are being built on the Sundermead site and will be ready sometime soon. For more information log on to www.lewisham.gov.uk or yank my tail.
I'm not too far from Lewisham, I have to pass there every weekend to get to football. Now Greenwich is a nice place to go out in and Blackheath too, how about some info on those two?
Blackheath is quite large. There are two main parts, The village and Heath and Blackheath Park near the royal standard. Now Blackheath is an attractive little village and believe someone famous lived there. THe shops are very attractive from cake shops to crafts shops. Blackheath Park is like the Mayfair of the SouthEast. It is an expensive area and every resident is extremely well off. Greenwich is a place that has attracted tourists for years. The central attractions are the Greenwich market hall and the Cutty Sark(The last remaining tea clipper) On the peninsula in North Greenwich we have the wart of London, Millenium Dome. In 2000, it was a thriving bustling attraction with lots to see and do. Now it is a deserted place. Carparks with nothing but dust and ruin and the only good thing about it is Bugsby way shopping complex. There is also a place further down which hosts a massive HMV. Well worth a trip.
I've never been to Glastonbury personally, but South East London is very diverse as in it has it's good points and has it's bad points. You really need to know where to go here.
Southeast London is more suburban mixed with country bumpkin. It is more diverse in culture and there is a noticable layer cake of the classes. Glastonbury is simply seen as a venue for the festival. Nobody thinks further than that. So really many people percieve Glastonbury as a field with a concert in it each year.
Rotherhithe, on the East London Line. This place is very by passable. However there is a tunnel which is the Rotherhithe tunnel. Really Rotherhithe is apart of Canada Water and Surrey Quays. The station stops are only a few yards from each other and if you go to Canada Water East London line platform toward Newcross stations then you can actually look down the tunnel and see Rotherhithe. Surrey Quays, features a shopping mall with Tesco and other well known shops. A little walk down will take you to Greenland Dock. You can get to the Thames there and walk along the Thames past new developments and then of course you arrive near Deptford.
Now I really am impressed! I am smack dab in the centre of all those tube stops Canada Water, Surrey Quays, and Rotherhithe,.
