A Tiny Space This flame burns the silence; the solitudes of the heart are fodder for the fire; we are a dance of silent light. But it's a tiny space for these soundless steps in grace; we dance upon a needlepoint, and if we slip, we fall, burning down and out to ash dark as soot, and the silence that housed God then brings the devil's own despair the dark solitude of isolation. (not sure about the title, suggestions welcome on that, or on anything else)
You've probably heard some form of the ancient greek, "gnosis" translated to English as knowledge, The Greeks however understood that there are different levels of knowledge. They were particularly aware of he need for a word specifying a particular type of knowledge, a "knowing in fullness" or to not merely know about something but to know it in the essence of it's being, from within the essence of the minds "I"*, this is "epignosis". Upon the breaking open of the doorways of perception in the second half of the 20th century, there came a necessity for yet another new word, a word to describe the dynamic application of epignosis, who better to bring forth this metaphor than those "in the know', the metaphor is "groovin" and in my opinion there is no higher conotation of the word. A groovin poem man. You have talant, a good deal of capability, but most importantly you seem to possess some degree of genuine humility, and that my friend gives you high potential. I do have (suprisingly) something for you to consider for this portrait, perhaps "When Angels Fall" and add the word "Angel" somehow to line 4... "We angels dance in silent light. Your words are potent, and poingant, poetry written in awful beauty*. (edit: * not happy with this metaphor, unfortunatlely mind is a bit muddled, I'll have to think about this, nothing is being presented to consciousness that seems to accurately convey what I mean.) Very well done sine cera
