Oh! Sufjan Fans, Portishead fans, Tori Amos fans, rejoice!

Recently I discovered this great band called My Brightest Diamond. The singer, Sara Worden was the lead backup singer for Sufjan's group of cheerleader girls. Anyway, she was signed unto his label, Asthamtickitty, and it's fucking incredible, one of the best albums to come out of 2006. Check her out.

 

Awesome. I'll have to check it out. I love Sufjan. I just got his "Songs for Christmas." It's so sweet.

 

He also has this cd called Mew coming out, it's him and the artists signed on his record, it looks interesting.

But yeah, the chick from My Brightest Diamond was the lead vocalist of the "Illinoisemakers."
