Well, yeah, but i'm sure that's tailored to his physicality.

I'm asking how does a fitness novice(me) start out?

It's got to be more than drinking a couple of glasses of raw eggs...

    Slowly.

In the past I've been pumped for information about "the best way to..." (lose weight, gain muscle, etc) and the best response I can come up with is the program you can stick with.

Basically it boils down to how dedicated you are long term. I've given exhaustive details of diet and exercise for folks who express desire to better themselves physically only to see them a few days later having decided that it's just too much work. Whatever route you choose, you need to be patient and willing to wait on long term results. A week or a month isn't going to bring on a transformation.

    Believe, me i know.

I have friends family who have struggled with weight(not me, i've always been a lanky guy). They always complain, but never do anything more than that.

You only get out what you put in.

Thanks! Will definitly check those out.

I've never been overweight, my biggest problem is being underweight and sickly (never seem to have enough energy).

    Want to bulk and define.

Not crazy WWE style or anything, just overall healthy grown man style.

My eating habits suck, and my exercise is non-existent.

This gonna take some dedication, but if there is one thing i've prided myself on it's being dedicated to i feel is important.

    again, thanks for the info.

not a problem brother, like stinkfoot said, the deciding factor is going to be your dedication and your ability to stick with it. You can have millions of dollars to spend on nutririonists, trainers, coaches... whatever, but unless you make the conscious effort on a DAILY BASIS, you won't see results. Commitment and dedication is what separates the greats from the losers with the greatest intentions.

OMG.... an invasion of... of.... of of stick figures!!!!

I hear ya... I still have a real fast metabolism. It's something I'm rather appreciative of at my stage in life. A look at some of my contemporaries reminds me of how good I have it.

    Holy shit, that's my body!

    minus a slight beer gut...

    i'm currently 21 years old, 6'2", 165 lbs.

    -o- muscle :(

my girlfriend is on the heavier side(she's been dieting and has dropped 30 lbs though!) and can beat me at arm wrestling. It's a little immasculating.

I'm already checking out those sites you guys mentioned, and i'll keep you updated.
