needless tosay, this country is in jeoprady and its time for a change. we've heard people say this over and over again, but few people take the initiative to do something about it. there are those out there who do take action to make a change, but there are some, like myself, who have the right mindframe but are slow to act. they either dont know how or need someone to push them in the right direction, which brings me to my point... where have all the leaders gone? did they die out in the sixties and seventies with the hippies? or like the hippies are they just laying low until their time comes around again? but if thats the case, there time has been around for a while now. maybe we need the Dr. Kings, the Abbie Hoffmans, the Angela Davidsons, and the John Lennons to get the ball rolling. or maybe we all need to become the leaders. we need to raise our voices loud enough to make it heard. we all have something to say, so say it. the potential and possibilities are endless. whats stopping us from changing the world? it all starts within... BE A LEADER!!!
Its time for a new type of leader. A leader who can do what is necessary to insure the continued existance of the human race. A leader who is willing to take on head to head ever government on our planet. A leader who if necessary will do what he must to save this planet.
I thought you were an anarchist. Anarchists don't believe in following anyone so how can they believe in leaders?
Thats why both anarchists and socialists have failed for so long. They lack a strong point. The only reason any political, radical, extremist movements have succeeded over the years is because they had a single strong point, a leader.
here's the thing. when woodstock happened the media and community at large called it a "pop music festival" which it was for that time. The children of the 60s and 70s had "pop music icons" who preached love and tolerance and peace as their messages. Now fast forward to today where "pop music icons" preach about being bootylicious, fergielicious, and money hungry. This is the example being thrown out there for the youth of america to absorb. These are the kind of people they are cranking out. Anyone with a catchy "hook" on their song can be famous. So, instead of talking about white rabbits and the governments we are hearing shit labout "lady lumps." What we are lacking is BETTER leaders, but that has also become a force to be reckoned with. It is changing, but change is slow. Now on the other end of the spectrum we do have some people who are peaceful and relivant like John mayer or dave matthews. The problem? They are not accpeted by the "hippie counter culture" because they also appeal to the community at large. So we have created a sort of quagmire where we have almost become as judgemental as our more jaded counter parts. What we truly lack is not a leader in general, it is a better leader who can UNIFY the people-- especially the young people. I dont know how many times i have heard a young person on the forums say, "my generation is so judgemental" or "i don't like people my own age" So, what are YOU going to do about it? How can you strive to change the face of america? when people keep to themselves, bad things happen like judgement and poverty and disunity. and this is the america we live in: "keep to yourself, shut up and get in line" Be a line breaker yourself. But do it with dignity. I find that talking to people is one of the easiest ways to this. Just because you understand someone doesn't mean that you have to agree. This is supposed to be the foundation of what we are built on, but it is a lie. Just because i smoke pot doesn't mean i think everyone should... sort of like that... peace and love
