I really only fear the loss of this thing we call our 'self'. I don't bemoan pain, nor the loss of this body, or of the world I know...so long as these memories, experiences, feelings, and thoughts that comprise me retain themselves when I 'die'.

I don't know if I would want physical immortality. I think I'd enjoy it for thousands and thousands of years...but what happens if the planet goes dead and I'm stranded on a lifeless husk alone for millenia? What about when the sun goes supernova and incinerates everyone and everything else? What about when the last star in the universe burns out and I'm left entirely alone in a cold, empty cosmos?

...But I'd still prefer it to just blinking out of existance.

I'm not afraid to die at all. In fact, if I died tomorrow. I would be OK with that. I try to live my life like I'm going to die tomorrow because I know how fast life can be stripped away from us.

I've lost a lot of people in this life and I'm confident that I will meet up with them again. They often visit me in my dreams and they tell me everything will be alright and I will see them again. Particularly, my mother.

So, I am ready, at any time, to begin the next part of my journey if that's what I'm supposed to do and no, I do not want to live forever...

I am not planning on dying because there is no future in it.

but in case things don’t go as planned -

You die, you die. There's nothing much to say about that. I'll die eventually, and there's really nothing I can do about it. Isn't like I can complain. The thing is to make the most of your like right now, and when you end up in the next plain of existence, you'll know that you accomplished something.

Ha ha ha whoever said this is quite funny ! and thought provoking !
How quickly - 200000000000000000 years or 1 second I mean quick is a relative term and if you divide 1 second by half and divide the half second by half - ans so on and so on - each second is an eternity anyway - the sum total of your life is eternity - we have all lived eternally within a second and continue to do so every second
death does not exist its a figment of your imagination you havent died so it must be!
we are already just a memory of ourselves eternally frozen in time yet moving through time but death is just a figment of the imagination that may not happen

I belive we live forever, energy is never lost just converted. We die and stop consuming and start producing. We are alive today because lving things die and transform to give us life, we are all conected in that sense and are all part of the same whole of energy.
I guess when I say we what I really mean is "I" becasue I belive there is only one soul and we are all part of it.

With that being said, I am not afraid to die, but I am scared of pain even though i know it is not forever, it is still very real to me and can't be forgoten.

People should not look at death as a said thing, but a nessicary thing. We are all alive becasue of death.

I'm not afriad of death. I think more then likely when you die that that's just it. But i could be wrong.

Also on a related issue what do we live for? Just being? Is that really so great? I guess that has varying opinions. I'm going to shut up, i'm starting to depress myself.

I'm looking forward to death, even though I will probably be going to hell. Ehh, whatever.
