How long can I expect 5g of dried psilocybe cubensis mushrooms to last in a plastic baggy before becoming inedible due to contamination, or impotent?

I bought what I have now a little over a week ago. I intend on doing them this Friday, or next Friday. Do you guys think they'll still be good?

Interesting thing I just read on Erowid:

Once properly dried, Psilocybian mushrooms should retain their potency indefinitely. One collection of Psilocybe semilanceata from 1861 in England was analyzed and found to be fully potent. More recent experiments have shown mushrooms to remain active for at least 8 years when properly dried and stored.

The longest I've kept shrooms on hand was 4 months. They were kept sealed in a bag and then just laying inside of an old cigar box. Not a humidor just a cigar box to keep em out of the dark and out of sight from random guests who might decide to help themselves to the goods. They experienced no loss of potency. I'd guess they could've lasted a lot longer. Although i don't think I could keep some shrooms on hand for 140 years.

could you imagine if you had bought a bag of shrooms and forgot them in your drawer, and then the day ur gunna move out and you're packing up all your bags and you come across shrooms that you haven't seen in years,

    that'd be awesome
