Hey mates I have a couple of questions. I would like to know how lenght at least your hair should be to start growing dreads. Its raining a lot here in china, we are already in winter, considering is quite hard and take some hours to make your dreads get dry, should I get started right now? or should I wait for a better weather? I wander my dreads would be most of the time humid or wet and that could cause my hair smelling funny. (Im not sure). The other question is, here in China is quite hard to find anything, So all the shampoo and soaps you have mentioned here doesnt exist in china. I found an small BODY SHOP but very small with only a couple of shampoo, one of them moisturising (useless). I also found another natural product free of everything, but is made with almonds. Thats work? Thanks a lot, Blessings.
i use almond dr bronners, sounds goood to me! i live in a humid and wet climate as well so i can comment on that. i notice my hair does have a distinct smell, not neccessarily bad, but a hair smell, when im out and about getting sweaty from the weather. as for the conditions im not sure??? ultimatly its up to you, but others will surely have better advice to give you than me. (you can always make your own natural shampoos! dont know how but its possible) to start growing dreads, if you go natural, will work with any lenght, you just stop brushing/only washing your hair with no residue, no conditioner shampoo as for backcombs, many people find that starting to short can have its problems. but i dont know this from personal experience. goooood luck!
Maybe if I help a little bit with a hair dryer would help to keep my hair away of smells. I think Im going for backcombing, the natural method is of course better but too messy for my way of living, you know job, family life and stuff. About the almonds, if works for you I guess then it sohuld be not bad . Thanks for the comment.
