i thought ground hog was sausage. er, how about ferrets. not my part of the world those critters. red pandas? pine martins? those if we're picking between names for the same critter, i've got one for you: mountain lion, cougar, puma (all common names of felis concolor). where i grew up we called them mountainlions. pronounced like that. like it was one word. the're not real big, not like the lion part might make you think, the're just real fast and real strong. the're not really any more vicious then any other cat, just big enough to tear you up if they tried to play like a kitten and fast enough to have done so before you realize what hit you. fortunately, like most wild critters, they tend to stay away and go on about their own bussiness. sorry, don't know nothin bout no woodchucks or ground hogs though. 'cept i like to eat sausage patties some times. or even put em in soup. =^^= .../\...
How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood. The name sounds cooler, so I'm going with woodchuck
