Who does the cooking in your house? My honey and I take turns and when I am late he will step up and make dinner for me. Who does most of the cooking in your house and who is going to do the cooking for the Holidays? The Holidays is my job this year
Me, if there's any cooking to be done. My mom works night shift and is never home for supper, so it's rare I bother doing anything cooking-like. Though I did make a stirfry a coupel days ago and made her have some when she got home (I made enough for like six people, it was ridiculous). Fancy dinners, like tday and xmas, I cook the turkey. I like cookign though, especially for people (and most especially when my mom picks up the groceries and I put them together) so it works out well.
My fiance does most of the cooking. It depends on who is more stressed with schoolwork and what season it is. I do the yardwork, so in the summer he takes on a greater share of the cooking, but in the winter we try to balance the cooking duty more evenly. When we do any sort of big holiday dinner, he does the cooking. This year, it's just the two of us, though, so I'll be cooking beans & rice for turkey day dinner. We'll be at his mom's house for xmas, so his mom will be in charge of the cooking (though he'll help).
I do all of it. My husband never cooks. I don't mind, I like cooking and baking, it's actually one of my hobbies. Plus, I'm a stay-at-home mama/housewife, I figure it's just part of the whole daily routine.
on a day to day basis i cook food for aiden and i and shane cooks food when he is hungry. for the holidays shane is cooking th turkey and i will be cleaning up before and after everyone leaves.
My partner and I both cook, however I tend to make meals while he makes individual foods like he'll make rice and vegetables, but I'll make rice, vegetables, an entree and a dessert I enjoy him cooking for me, but I prefer my cooking. I'm in charge of Thanksgiving this year (I love cooking though). I'm making a squash soup, vegan mashed potatoes with spinach, a burbon-pecan pie, tofurky for me and pomegranate quail for the meat-ers, a salad of beans and rice, and .... that might be it.
I live most of the year in a flat with other students (mix of guys and girls). We are all vegetraian or vegan so we share the cooking - we each cook on one night and then do our own thing on weekends. I go home to my parents' place for the holidays and usually just cook for myself because the family eats meat. But sometimes i'll make them a veggie meal... and I'm, doing my dinner for the holidays, tofurkey all the way. I'll probably do some other side dishes too. I love cooking so much so it's never a chore...kind of wish I could cook more.
*drools* can I come over to your place for thanksgiving? I mean, I don't get one this month, because I'm Canadian
I do all the cooking, He does all the dishes and cleans our bedroom. Was a deal we made when we got our new house. I love to cook, hate to clean and he loves my cooking so we're very happy.
I do an awful lot of cooking for my family, and I enjoy it. I have more time on the weekends and I make up a lot of food to last throughout the week. My brother works night shifts and days and both my parents work full time, so we all take turns cooking. Usually my mother and I do most of the cooking.
in my house the females (and we are sooo outnumbered) do all the cooking, cleaning, & laundry while the men kick back, drink beer, and grab our ass. i dont think this is okay by any means, but if we didnt do it it wouldnt get done & im not going to wallow in my own filth just because they dont mind it
I do most of the cooking in my house. I love cooking, I thought for a long time I'd like to be a chef, so I pretty much insist on it. plus, my boyfriend doesn't really like cooking, but he likes doing dishes, so it works out really well for both of us.
Ours is about 50/50 for dinner. I do nearly 100% of cooking lunch, breakfast and snacks for the children, though.
Haven't done any holiday cooking this year so far. We spent Thanksgiving with friends who insisted on us having the day totally off, and I wasn't about to argue. As far as every day goes, I do it all. Mostly. My partner probably cooks a meal in 50, and I do the rest. But we generally only eat one meal a day when he's working - I start cooking when he calls on his way home, and we eat after that. On his days off, we'll stuff ourselves by eating breakfast and then have a supper in the evenings. We ended up doing it this way simply because it made sense to us - I work at home, so I can pop in and out of the kitchen without worries. Plus, I get a little weird about my kitchen, for instance if I'm not the one to clean, I convince myself that nothing was cleaned properly and end up doing it all over again. I'm probably horribly dysfunctional and obsessive-compulsive, but I won't complain since it only seems to result in a cleaner house.
I do most of the cooking. He gives me a break sometimes, but I really don't like his cooking...he makes "concoctions" which almost always taste terrible and spicy. Yuck. Is it too much to ask for some regular plain old food?
I do *all* of the cooking, except on the rare occassions we treat ourselves to the gluten-free menu from outback steak house. DH shares in the cleanup and preparation (he's really good at shredding cheese and washing dishes), but I do all the actual cooking. I prepared a huge gluten-free thanksgiving feast for the entire family, because we just can't afford the risk of ingesting gluten if we were to eat elsewhere. edit - I take it back. DH is good with the grill, and will cook steaks that I marinated overnight, and he did deep fry the turkey (that I prepared) for T-Day.
