I'll tell you a brilliant café. Ravenglass station café (at the tourist railway station). BEST CHIPS EVER!

Woodlands Tea Rooms at Santon Bridge...just a stones throw from Ravenglass. Best grub ever, all home cooked and local produce is used wherever possible. Wasdale mutton and haricot bean stew and the chicken and leek pie...delicious!

Mint cake is so good.. i get my relatives to send me it very very often.. i can eat a big bar a day if I was allowed
