    I'm having many problems.

It's leaking quite a bit and I realize that many people need quite a bit of time to adjust to using one but I'm pretty sure I'm doing everything correctly.. it's possible that I'm not, though, I suppose.

Any suggestions? Anything help you guys realize what you were doing wrong? I'm thinking of going back to tampons during the day and practicing using the menstrual cup at night and on weekends until I can get the hang of it.

I love the idea... anything to help conserve our environment is great and it's quite comfortable and captures blood but it's driving me absolutely mad and I can't figure out where it's NOT working!

    Help.. mee...

    Thank you! :)

Hm, maybe I need a bigger size. That's all I can think of right now.

But, I'm young. I'm sixteen years old, never had a kid... hell, I'm a virgin. It just makes no sense.

I do have a pretty stretchy 'gina, though... I think..

Aye. I just don't know. I'm lost, heh.

I know I always wanted to the diva cup but everyone I know is so hooked on tampons and everyone I have talked to who isnt into saving our planets like OOOOO its gross and it wont save you and you cant do that and straight out tells me that its gross. Truthfully do you think its gross to use the diva cup? I have opted on it for sometime. Even if u still use tampons though I would definately try the ones by The Seventh Generation brand or the Natracare brand or try using moon padsthat can be made by yourself or bought from many peolple out there. Moon time pads are the ones that you just soak in a bucket and then wash and reuse if you dont know what Im talking about visit:

I have even heard of using sea sponges but I havent tried them so IDK how they work.

So is the moon cup the same as the diva cup?

I'm a Keeper user who bought a Diva this past month. here's what I've found:
divas need to be inserted straight back and they seem to ride low, that'll be an interesting adjustment...but the tab is MUCH shorter that even where I trimmed the K so.... we'll see.
I'm on a board called long hair community and we have the world's longest cupper thread. lots of great links- come lurk...and maybe join up....

the part of the instructions where it says you have to give it a full spin once it's inserted is what really drove me nuts.. i coudlnt figure out why i couldnt do it. i found i had to push the cup into place once it was inside me before i could spin it, and sitting down was the easiest position to do it in. the tail of it also kept sticking uncomfortably into me, but the positioning it myself after it was inserted is what helped. you'll get the hang of it madlizard... just keep trying! i thought i was doing it wrong too at first. it's worth the frustration : ) haha

I never had any leaks, but I only had two cycles with it so far. I'm guessing it's not in far enough for your muscles to keep it in place.

what I do to make sure that it is place:
1-tighten up your cooter muscles (i dunno the name of them..lol). This pushes the divacup up.
2-run your finger around the divacup to make sure it's not bent or positioned akward. (always make sure you wash your hands before, but u prolly already know that)
3-tighten up those cooter muscles again.

I never had a leak and this is how I insert mine. Good luck!

are you folding the cup in half b4 you stick it inside of you??
if so dont unfold it until you cant get it further in. then let the cup unfold and makes sure you have a good suction. if not take the cup out and do it all over again.

i had gotten my moon cup a couple months back only got to use it for two cycles then found out i was preggers. but within those two cycles i never had a problem inserting the cup, leaking or uncomfiness.

I've had mine for almost 2 years now, and at first, I also had a bit of trouble getting used to it. My main problem was also that it would leak... VERY slightly, but still did. (I should also note that I have the one for older women/women who have given birth... it was the only one they had when I got mine and there isn't much size difference.) Then I figured it out - it wasn't unfolding completely after I put it in. It would be unfolded, but slightly "squished'' where there wasn't enough air to allow it to unfold. Some slight re-adjusting after I put it in seems to completely fix that problem.
If you can feel it at all, it might just be sitting wrong or something. I can tell when mine is, because normally I can't feel it at all unless it's in an odd position or just not unfolded completely.

I started to get a good hang of mine my last cycle, but I know it will take some practice. I called the 1-800 help line for advice and the girl was very nice. She told me to make sure that you DO NOT insert it straight up like a tampon, but straight back horizontally. That really helped with leaking, crampy feelings, and irritation. After that I couldnt even feel it in me and I forgot about it.

I can wait until my next period....LOL maybe not!

Thanks, girls. I think I'm getting the hang of it.

I'll wait until my period starts up again and then find out. :)

I'm getting there... I'm getting there...

    Thanks for the advice, loves.
